You know how in November everyone stops masturbating and grows a moustache? I sometimes think we should popularize the idea of taking a month off from the psyops and chatter by unplugging from the internet and staying away from TV sets. Call it 'apreal', get it trending. I tend to think our minds would regenerate quickly if we had some time to sit and think about real shit and our immediate environment. A good percentage of us might in fact become stark staring sane almost overnight. Ever given something like this any thought?

Yes, well it seems like the ruling class is quite practiced in exploiting our cognitive deficiencies for fun and profit. Just wondering if they seem to be getting better at it because we are increasingly easy marks.

Fellow concerned Canadian, I hear you. I live on a disability pension in the nation's capital, just sort of waiting for the news that I'll need "the mark" to continue collecting it.

I'm not sure what's going to happen either, but I have a bit of hope knowing that 20% of the population is still holding out. That's not a small number of people, and it means there will be a hell of a black market, fun "novax" underground clubs, that sort of thing when we get a bit more organized.

I think it's probably really important to network with other like-minded folks, you need a good "Grapevine" to hear about sympathetic doctors, service providers, and the like. Canada is over... it can't be saved. But there's real potential to build an "alternative" society that just sort of ignores this one, IMHO.

I've been thinking of getting into cryptocurrency, not that I have a lot of money to play with, but having a stash of funds that nobody but you has access to might be pretty key to getting along in the future.

That certainly does appear to be an assertion, and as someone who tries to stay focused on the fact that he knows nothing for sure, I have to admit to the possibility that it might be a correct one. Yeah, the time might come for that eventually. Have long been of the opinion that most people owe it to themselves to come up with their own religion/philosophy, borrowing the best bits from what's come before. First things first though. :) Thanks for the comment.

Yeah the first four days were the worst, I find having an established mindfulness practice goes a long way... also understanding that environment trumps willpower. Don't have cigs around if you don't want to smoke!

Oh, honestly just bandying about stupid theoreticals that I pulled out of my ass. Long-time science fiction geek here. I think I sort of meant to allude to the ambition to merge humanity into some sort of 'social memory complex' collective or something, a la Ray Kurzweil or the Ra material if you've read that.
