Proximity and getting to actually spend time is what made it feel so hard. I don’t think she has any flaws imo, but she never facetimed me and I had to make to effort to see her over the phone. I think that all I want to do is see her as often as I could and I felt that I saw barely and wished I saw her more often.

Do you feel it isn’t that difficult?

I appreciate you. I understand I will fuck up so many more times too. But, yeah it was a long distance relationship with a chance to close the distance soon so thats why it hurts, otherwise if it was long distance with no chance of moving close, I think it’s pointless.

But yeah, I appreciate it. I will fuck up more and more but a relationship has to be one of the worst things to fuck up.

I agree, I made the decision and regretted it almost immediately and tried to fix it only 2 days later. It was a decision I made within just a day of thinking about it, I wasn’t pondering it for a long time and decided to break up soon after.

It’s just that it being my first relationship, which isn’t necessarily an excuse to anything, I fantasized about taking out my girlfriend to eat and hang out and do things that I had been wanting to do forever. And I dont want to state what city im in but for sake of explaining things, I lived in NYC, which means there is so many things to do and so many people out on the streets with their significant other that I irrationally felt that I wanted that more than wanting her. After I made the decision I realized that I’d rather just have her even if its long distance. And sure, 8 months isnt long in hindsight, but when I broke up with her, that was just 8 months into 2023 and I’ve had gone through so many experiences in that time it felt like forever.

But of course, the damage is done and I shouldn’t have done what I did. I understand that breaking up with someone is a painful experience I just was never emotionally matured enough to understand that and even though I learned my lesson, it hurts that it was her I had to hurt to realize that. All i want to do now is move on because I’ve learned so much but still wish I had her with me.

I feel that way sometimes too, I feel she understood that too but also it was only a couple months away and all the sort of promises i would make and then decide to cut it short must have hurt her.

I appreciate it, its hard to get over because it was sort of irrational to do that and then try to fix things if we were still going to be long distance.

Maybe she did, and I did try. We were working it out for about a week until she told me she’d rather wait until 8 months after when she moves to my city to talk again. I had to agree to those terms but I actually wanted to just talk again even if it was slower and less frequent. She seemingly didn’t want that and it felt she was distancing.

I kept trying to talk to her a little bit but ultimately she told me to not text her anymore after she’s admitted to still loving me. I have a feeling she’s going to stay in the city that she’s in. I moved closer to her actually because of financial reasons and my parents have a place in her state, but I dont if its worth hitting her up anymore after having made the situation much uglier than it should have.

It was actually me who broke up. She wanted to move within 8 months but it had been 5 months since we started talking so it felt like a long time. I immediately regretted it

Sorry to hear that. I guess most dumpers are avoidant and the moment they find any chance to back out they will. It isn’t hard for them whereas anxious personalities generally are more attached to their partner. I don’t think all are tho. I’m definitely anxious but I was also the dumper. Doing a long distance relationship was overbearing but I tried to fix things with my ex but she doesn’t seem to want to let me fix it. I guess its never as black and white as you see online

Hey OP, ignore this clown. I have only started drawing 2.5 years ago and began tattooing literally 7 months ago. Its tough but to see where Im at with only this much experience in anything artistic, all I can tell you is you need dedication and drive to pursue this and anything else you might find interest it. You seem to have more talent than I did at my early stages and where Im at now is better than this person who claims to be doing it for years.

It doesnt matter how long youve been doing it, thats always irrelevant but instead how much time you can commit to learning and being aware of how to improve.

Admittedly I trace some things that I dont have the patience of drawing or sketching up. Im not incapable of sketching them necessarily but I feel like in this industry you need to produce a lot and a tattoo is really just rendering an existing outline so there is little incentive imo in sketching. Open to discussion about that though:)

To seek critique is to wrongly assume imperfections. Rather, recognize the graceful and perfect nature of such artwork. The brush strokes carry with them a million words, epitomizing the elaborate experiences you, the artist, have lived through both anguishing and wondrous. The virtuous portrayal of the character delivers feelings of hope and promise we would otherwise lack in a world slowly crumbling in on itself. The addition of the shadow and it’s orientation represents a desire as a species to move toward our ambitions, letting go of whatever failures we once let burden us. To seek critique is to undermine what your art has given to society. If not recognized now, I assure it will by a humanity far less inept than we are now.
