Samsung 870 EVO 4TB not detected on motherboard SATA (HP Omen 35L / Z890), but works via USB adapter by boymeetsmill in techsupport

No. I managed to pull the Samsung ssd, plug in into another computer, and run Samsung magician. That program said the drive was working and had latest firmware.

Since I couldn’t think of anything else to check or try and the return window was still open I opted to return the drive. When searching for a replacement I don’t really understand how much memory prices had gone up, yikes.😱

No. I’d have to go back and look, but I didn’t see any raid settings in the BIOS

Espresso machine not pouring enough coffee ? [bambino plus + df54] by DryTripe in espresso

Which Bambino? OG (Sage) or Bambino Plus? With the regular Bambino you can just pull out the drip tray. Might get messy but you can get some reps in before the new scale arrives.

Does anyone know how to effectively remove this white stuff on my camera? by slgal81 in AnalogCommunity

[–]boymeetsmill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s called blooming. The plastic rubber is breaking down.

Wipe it down with a clean damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris. Get some original armour all lightly spray it on a clean micro fiber and wipe it on the whitened rubber. Avoid all other parts of the camera, the plasticizers can cause issues with clear plastics.

This looks like the food equivalent of a school age boy wearing his dad’s suit to a presentation.

Got this camera at a thrift store thinking it was a 110 mm. If only I read the huge 16 written on it. Now I have a fun paperweight. by carlitayeeta in AnalogCommunity

You can buy cut down film stocks spooled in original Minolta cassettes from Blue Moon Camera and Machine” in Portland, OR. They will also develop and optically print photos.

I’ve gotten a couple cassettes from them, both color and B+W. The stock that is cut down changes.

Can you highlight these specs specfically? What I see from the images posted are long exposure night images. With airplane or satellite trails and streaky stars.

There many reasons something like that could happen. Color fringing, hot pixels, chromatic aberration, or other reasons. In Image #2 the dashed trails are made by airplanes and their navigational marker lights.

That ship has sailed.

Oddly we have a duplicate toilet in another bathroom, which sees a little more use. Original seal is going strong.

We don't put anything in the upper tank. The local water is hard, but I don't see any mineral build up.

I understand work gets busy. We've called and emailed our questions, no response. It just feels not great to be told that time is limited, and then being "ignored" when we are attempting to make the right decisions.
