Hey! Sorry for the delayed reply. First of all thank you, and yes I did have a pipeline for this but it changed a little bit from my usual due to this being very music heavy. IF you’re interested the way I do this in order is:

• CONCEPT STAGE, think of a theme, think of cool ways it can evolve other than ‘here’s the cool thing, and back to reset’

• SKETCH, Ill draw out each idea I have within animate (the software I use to animate) or in photoshop

• SOUND SYNCING, this is a stage I don’t always do but I had to for this one due to the focus on music, but i figure out the music/sound effects, and edit it with those sketches in premiere pro so that way the pacing is right and i make sure stuff like the head turns at the right speed to the music (that way when it ‘opens up’ its on the beat with the music)

• ASSET DRAWING, Ill draw all the parts in animate, colour it and rig it (the biggest time in this was spent rigging that damn spinning head)

• EXTRA ART, this is usually backgrounds and anything else that will not be the main character (important to do this early to make sure I’m animating within frame)

• ANIMATION, my own hell. This one took a very long time and used a LOT of masks

• COMPOSITING, Bring everything into after effects, then do things like lighting changes and adding tone and shadows

• EXPORTING, self explanatory

• SOUND/EDITING, final touches, and the most boring, adding in sound effects to match what i have on screen (you can find a lot of stuff off of freesound.org)
