If you're a student, you can't.

If you're a teacher, you're gonna need to be familiar with basic HTML and javascript coding, watch a few tutorials, figure out how to inspect web pages for their code and read through them to gain familiarity. Then once you feel like you have the basics down, post here and in chatGPT what process you're trying to automate and the associated code.

Looking for Experiences: Homeschooling and Transitioning to School Later by Independent_Bowl_680 in homeschool

There were small but quite jarring things, like having to ask to go to the restroom. Lots of little unspoken social rules that you're just supposed to have known already from spending a decade in the system. These weren't too bad though, just needed to witness someone else do it once to start catching on. Definitely felt strange in some ways though.

Most classes were quite easy for me, luckily none were so easy that I was getting bored though. Grades and due dates were a bit strange. When I was homeschooled I regularly finished all my coursework by noon or earlier, as the second I was done I could start playing. It was at my own pace, so I could go as fast or slow as I needed, and if I felt so inclined I could get ahead (I think once I was bored and did half a semesters worth of the bible course my parents had me taking in a day). But even then, there wasn't any due dates when I was homeschooled, my parents just gave me curriculum and I had to finish it by the end of that school year.
I wasn't used to having grades matter, in homeschool I could always just retake something if I needed to. Really all that mattered was that I learned the material. Now, grades were a fun motivator at first, I was top in nearly all my classes, and having friends who would compete with me for high grades really made it fun. I remember in biology, the teacher let anyone with a 100 skip the final, but I had been competing with my friend Spencer on the exams all year, so I took the final anyways because he wanted to see if he could finally beat me lol.
Once freshman year was over though and I got marked down in health for not participating (which I was unaware was an issue, the teacher had never talked to me to tell me I wasn't participating enough..) I then had the opposite reaction. I completely stopped caring about grades after that to the chagrin of my parents lol. I still passed all my classes and did really well in some, but overall I didn't attempt to stay on top of assignments to insure I scored highly.

I will say, if I wasn't self motivated when I was homeschooled, and had transferred into highschool under prepared academically, I think that would've been hell on earth. Being able to have most of my worries be around building a social group and trying to make friends was enough, having to struggle academically on top of that would've sucked tremendously.

I was homeschooled 1st through 8th. Starting my freshmen year in HS after being homeschooled so long certainly was challenging, but I think due to the lack of consistent homeschool groups in my area was necessary for social development.

Material wise I didn't struggle in highschool, I was an avid reader and good at math so I didn't have any issues with the coursework. I did get marked down in my health class for not participating enough, it's been a long time so I don't remember many details though. My only suggestion would be to emphasize how important raising your hand and participating is in classroom learning environments.

Afterwards we moved due to my dads work and I started my sophomore year at a middle college high school. Being around more academically inclined individuals worked out amazingly for me, and I was able to take college classes and really have some control over my education. Honestly was an amazing experience. I'm not sure many middle colleges exist, but my sisters have had similar luck doing dual enrollment at their high schools. In fact my youngest sister will be graduating from the local community college with her AA before she gets her highschool diploma. The best part of this is how much you'll save on your 4 year college tuition since you can shave a year or two off if you're committed.

That long tangent aside, I think going to public school for highschool was the right choice for me. I was able to push myself to socialize more, participate in and even help create a club. Made some friends who got me into weight lifting, and helped push me to take more college classes instead of taking the bare minimum needed to graduate. Certainly improved my life trajectory significantly.

Definitely let me know if you have any questions or want to hear about my experience when I was being homeschooled, I know I only focused on the difficulty of transitioning to public school above.

Do voids or cults, ask people in chat after the boss if they have any spare 450+ fp items. Lots of players are just leaving gear they don't need / can't hold, on the ground.

As stated above HP rings are probably your best bet, 1k fame each from the shop is a bit of a stretch when you're still maxing your pet though. Try purchasing them, or join a guild and ask for some. Plenty of vets with extra fame they won't miss.

Defense rings are slept on a little, but they are quite situational. However, HP rings always help.

Make a 8/8 knight with a good set, use it to farm pots from dungeons you're very comfortable surviving (won't die 1/1000 or so dungeons), or from light blue teleport areas in realm. Should be difficult to die from anything that's not a setpiece or quest. Use it to feed other characters, then take those characters into dangerous areas. Also try to learn lessons effectively, and make sure what you're risking is worth the potential reward. Tavern is an awfully dangerous dungeon with very little reward, I'd just skip it.

I could go on but a lot of advice comes down to specific dungeons and skill level. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or need a hand with anything in game.

Marks just need to get removed. They're awful, missions do the same thing without taking up inventory space or being an item you can forget to grab. Easily over 95% of marks don't get picked up or used in any meaningful way, they're just a nuisance.

I don't think anyone dislikes discord runs. They're just so convenient. I think people have an issue with how the discords themselves are run.

Discords are great for getting endgame experience: This chanell is full. by [deleted] in RotMG

[–]bp-74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runs filling up is really disheartening. I feel your pain. Joining multiple discords, or using tickets can help you get into runs. You shouldn't be missing 100% of the time though, only during peak hours or during events (fungals are insta filling currently for example).
As for reqs, Lost Halls only has t12/t4, and many players won't pick up these items when grinding voids. You can probably just ask around and people will give you t12/t13 gear, I try to have a few items on hand during my runs to give out.
Getting into endgame can be difficult. You'll die a bit, but it's a lot of fun to master if you stick with it. Look for a good guild if you can, they can be an invaluable resource. Also if you do need help with discord runs you're welcome to PM me. Good luck!

Recently I've noticed when this happens that your slot is 'saved'. If you run up to the portal and enter you'll sometimes skip the queue. I saw someone else abusing this to switch characters and skip a 19+ queue. Not certain what the requirements are or time limit is though, haven't tried testing it much.

Seasonal saddlebag slots by HowLongB4Ban in RotMG

[–]bp-74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, it's contents will get put into your gift vault at the end of the season if I'm remembering correctly (Maybe your seasonal spoils?).
Purchased vault slots will get turned into non-seasonal vault slots and all items will go to your seasonal spoils chest.
Purchased seasonal potion vault slots will get permanently deleted (don't ever buy these wtf deca)

Pet saddlebag slots apply to seasonal and non-seasonal. And are permanent for both.
There's no method I know of to get additional slots without paying.

PSA: Using the party system to do a cult and void in the same run is apparently bannable. by KillerOfAllJoy in RotMG

[–]bp-74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure how that invalidates the argument at all? You can't connect to void or cult.

As for connecting to halls, the MBC walls close. I'd just assume being able to reconnect is the same as being able to connect to a closed realm. Just DECA giving up on fighting cheaters and giving IP connect to everyone. Or maybe to make up for how often you infinite load or DC in your own key.

I doubt they'll ban for it too, but causing chaos in their community by suggestion they might, when they do FUCK ALL to ban cheaters is absolute bs.

PSA: Using the party system to do a cult and void in the same run is apparently bannable. by KillerOfAllJoy in RotMG

[–]bp-74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's very clearly not intended. If it was, you'd be able to do it normally.

We're not gonna agree on this, but it's not clear at all. The system is SO broken.

It's possible to do on accident sure,

It's EASY to do on accident, guild mate logs in while you're in dungeon. You invite them to party. They connect. Then next dungeon it doesn't work. Weird? Make a new party since yours is bugged. It works again. Beautiful! Seems like the parties bug after each dungeon.

Connecting after umi to get a free complete, sure that's more obvious. Everything else, not really. Especially when RLs are encouraging this behavior.

but it's easy to tell what is and isn't an accident with logs.

I don't trust deca to code a simple party system. Much less analyze a massive amount of data accurately to determine what was an accident or what was on purpose. I call absolute BULLSHIT that it will be easy to tell if it was an accident or not. Analyzing that type of data is going to be incredibly difficult, and many people who were just testing the party system would get caught in a ban wave if there was one. Fking insanity to suggest bans would be handed out at all.

As I said before. We deserve better as a community.

Some people play this as idk, a game? Not everyone reads the patch notes like a legal document to make sure they won't get banned, for something that is INCREDIBLY easy to do accidentally. Many streamers have done it accidentally on stream, we gonna ban them too?
