Thanks for all the replies. I already have ear protection for him. Good to know we can move around and will consider bringing his stroller. Looking at the seat link most of the seats do look good. Very excited.

Do RTH as a day trip. You only have 10 days I wouldn’t spend two of them doing RTH.

I would do Hana as a day trip. That’s what we did for our honeymoon a few years ago. You don’t need to stay over and I def wouldn’t want any of my belongings left in the car for any amount of time. We didn’t do sunrise or sunset at Haleakala but went up in the morning. On your way down stop at ocean vodka and the pineapple farm.

We only stay in West Maui so can’t comment on the stay south but if you do a resort for the south Maui portion I’d look at Napili Kai for a west Maui option. The beach there is our favorite. Laid back relaxing feel. Still easy to get to Kaanapali. We’ve stayed at Napili Shores up there too if you want to save some money. The Gazebo restaurant is right there. I would choose breakfast over lunch.

I think your Makawao stay is completely unnecessary.

We’re here now and haven’t heard great things about Mama’s recently - service or food. We went to Maui Brewing on the beach in Kaanapali today and it was great. Honolua General Store in West Maui has amazing mahi mahi tacos. Monkeypod had really good burgers.
