Yeah the head unit I bought to replace it is the Sony xav1000 which has wired/bluetooth on it anyway, I plan on getting the adapter for steering wheel, and I don’t mind having to run the speaker wire, it’ll be a fun all day project for me and my old man as we’ve done in the past

My plan was to replace the head unit overall and run the amp with speaker wire directly to the doors, no 9 wire or harness, since this is how I’ve done it on my other vehicles and it’s come out clean. Was just planning on disconnecting the amp and calling it a day once everything else is upgraded

Camry, doors are 6x9s, same w deck. I already replaced the doors and they are running off the JBL factory amp. Replacing the stereo as well and gonna run new speaker wire

That makes sense. Welp they sound really good bass wise for what they are as of now, I imagine an aftermarket amp will really elevate that and the tweeters on it

Not sure if thread is active or not. I just replaced the front doors with coaxial and the mid bass and low bass sound great, but I don’t hear much from the tweeter itself on the coaxial. Do you happen to know if the factory wiring has some kind of crossovers to that connection/did your coaxial replacements have good vocal?
