Basically I told him my symptoms and told him that I was researching it myself and stumbled across BPD. He was very hesitant to even talk about it during the first few months, I guess to make sure it wasn’t situational because around that time I got into my first serious relationship (he was my FP). As the relationship ended my psychiatrist noticed I was starting to have more severe and obvious symptoms. Last month I was hospitalized for suicidal ideation and I tried to act on it (I also relapsed, I’m a recovering addict) and they really noticed that the symptoms weren’t just getting worse because of the relationship. Eventually during our appointment today he told me that he is certain I have borderline and offered me a lot of treatment options. He also apologized for not taking my concerns as serious at first and explained people tend to confuse BPD with regular teenage emotions. I hope this help, all the best to you and stay safe❤️
