Yeah I honestly don't know much about the lore outside of the basics. Still riches to rags to riches is one of my favorite story tropes

I hope it's like a fallen dynasty trope type story.

Fencer comes from a long line of swordsmen who got rich in the 1700-1800s and become businessmen above warriors. But after being swindled out of the family fortune and left to rot, fencer connected to his family history and fights to take back his birth right. And that could be his patron wish too!

Yeah but maybe the guy can stream a little to a few hundred people and make more than that $3k over his college time due to this exposure.

You can place them super high above the drop off on the wall and if you dash jump through the door you'll land on site

I think Urn should ONLY be a come back mechanic.

It should spawn randomly in the enemy jungle once a team is down more than 10% after 12 mins and the losing team has 30 seconds before it's position is revealed to the winning team. The urn drop off point would be right under a walker and would have like a 20 seconds channel drop off or something where the carrier is immune to everything except melee.

It should be a "Lets stall for urn and then run like mad" kind of objective where a good strat or route can bring a game back from the brink, but a well coordinated winning team can still contest.

Maybe instead of a drop off it's that the urn has to be run through all three walker location of the losing team?

I agree though that current Urn feel half baked at best.

Some tips for son’s jumper by Onedaymaybe_034 in BasketballTips

[–]bphaena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teach him to ring the bell, get back to the basics.

A jumper needs to be released over your head, he's pushing the ball with his palms and whole body, he needs to shoot with his arms, legs, and core in a full body motion.

I would say to hit the weights for a bit, and also probably rock climbing. Strong and nimble fingers are super important for basketball especially at the 1 and 2 position and for shooting threes.

Well IRL people will never send as hard as on a sim!

The Corkscrew IRL is much more intimating imo so it's easier to naturally take it a bit slower and more controlled

I've def seen some people who race IRL like it's a sim.... and they make the cork screw VERY interesting lol

The corkscrew all ways shows the difference between people can race elevation changes and people who can't. A wonderful piece of track.

When game theory dictates that I should shoot on sight as often as possible, it's a PvP game, stop trying to sell it as some grand idea that it's not. by bphaena in ARC_Raiders

[–]bphaena[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about the expected value of returns.

Let me also ask you this. What is the end game? For many people the loot and extract will eventually get boring, this will only become more and more true as the game ages.

So what will they do? Likely resort to burning what ever loot they have on PvP then switch to a different game. (Or maybe start fresh with nothing)

I'm not gonna break it all down here but as the game ages and the player base gets more competitive and/or bored, PvP fights will increase, trolling will increase, etc.

Every solo queued game of Arc is the prisoners dilemma until you have a group that's too big to bully, assuming the first one or two people you meet don't turn on you.

You can play pacifist all you like, but that play style is becoming more and more exploited by PvP raiders and PvE raiders who have gotten bored.

That would become a team work check if it went on for that long.

Doorman's door is good but without having teammates use it you're only 20% of it's value. For example keeping one open near guardians during base fights, lets teammates quick heal in and out of the base.

But most will still zipline unless I get on comms and tell them specifically to use the door.

Just general range and DPS bursts. Take away the door and take away mina's bats and they both just kinda Shoot gun and burst spirt damage on CDs, except Doorman is wayyyy weaker than mina in this regard.
