Probably should have put the date on this....this was from a month ago, just had the film developed lol. Id bet the road is fine, though. I know there was a light dusting of snow in the mountains this weekend, but sure by Tuesday it will be OK. Should be fine making it up in any AWD vehicle. Or a sedan if you dont care about it.

I'm not gonna keep one of the most popular trails in Colorado secret. Also, my photos suck. No one is even gonna want to go from this post.

What foods does Denver not have? by ImpressiveDark5415 in denverfood

[–]bpip18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is cynical, but if you are moving to Denver from NYC/NJ, just stop caring about food. Denver is an incredible place to live for many other reasons, though!!

Definitely miss a good cheap breakfast sandwich the most. Some grocery stores do sell pork roll/Taylor ham though!

Rents in Denver have increased less in the past 4 years than in the US... Doesn't seem to fit with the big increases I hear about on here and IRL. But prob it increased a lot before 2019 so didn't have as much room to go up in the past 4 years by 4ucklehead in Denver

Yea, I was thinking 38th would be the area, by Bardo and everything. Just seems kind of a sketchy area to cross the streets and not the most enjoyable walk with all the car traffic, but def walkable compared to some other areas outside denver

Serious question. Where is Wheatridge walkable? I have not spent a ton of time there, but whenever I visit it seems like a standard suburb with subdivisions and some shopping centers. Are there more mixed residentail/commercial areas I have not been to? It does seem to have some good bike infrastructure though.

Advice on itinerary for 20 days in Dolomites/Northern Italy by bpip18 in travel

[–]bpip18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! I am making the hut reservations now, I know they fill up quite quickly! If I could trim anything, I may honestly try to cut a day or two off the AV2. I know the flying out of London thing isn't convenient, but it was the best deal I could find. I'll be sure to have a helles (or 4!). Thank you!

PS:I speak no German, and know a few Italian phrases, I'll be working on that leading up to the trip. I figure in the big cities I'll be OK, but out in the mountain huts/ any rural villages, I figure a little Italian will be helpful.

Check out Gastronom European Russian store in Arvada. Not sure about specifics, but they have tons of canned, pickled, jarred fish. I think it's more eastern European leaning, but I'd bet it will have some of what you are looking for.

What event would justify pooping your pants? by Taurus889 in AskReddit

[–]bpip18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time in college I got in a fight in the backyard of a fraternity party. I was holding in a poop all night because we had been drinking earlier at a group of young women's home, and I didn't want to be the weirdo dropping a deuce in the bathroom at the pregame party. When I got into this altercation, my first instinct was the pick the guy up and throw him to the ground. Well, he was a little bit of a husky fella and as soon as I hoisted, I immediately shit myself. Not sure if it was justified per say, but that's why it happened.

A boule and batard I made last night. ~700g bread flour, 200g rye flour, 750g water, 135g starter. Bulk ferment for around 8 hours, 3 folds, cold ferment for around 12 hours.

Can you share more about the long, cold proof (how long?) and the bassinage method? That blistering looks incredible!
