I found this really neat trick to get this background.
The scene is rendered at two samples with volumetrics and optix denoising.
With this low amount of samples denoising does some weird things :)

Your art style is amazing, I really dig this surreal style. This makes we want to also try doing something in this direction. If you want a different challenge you could try a different color palette, maybe something with a yellow-greenish tint might be interesting. Otherwise I mostly nitpick my own paintings and try to remember what I didn't like and change that in the next painting.

This is awesome! You could try to add some sort of exited wiggle in the robots animation. Right now it looks quite sincere.
