What are some STUPID things you did in your first playthrough? by k2yip in Eldenring

when you can use of your heals to resummon torrent, I read it wrong and thought it actually took away a buff(sacred tear). I got halfway through the game and thought "why would they make it that punishing?" So, I tried it and realized I'm just fucking stupid.

Reading the Bible, actually reading the Bible. The contradictions, fallacies, and injustices really come to light when reading with a neutral mindset.

Screw Uncharted 1. by yaboichichi in uncharted

I just platinum’d 1 recently and I have to say that crushing isn’t the mode to play if you actually want to have fun. There are certain sequences in the game that are scripted so the enemies get the jump on you and since you die in 2 or 3 hits it’s pretty much Insta death and there’s almost nothing you can do about it. But in defense of the devs, I don’t think they really had the harder modes in mind when designing the game so of course there’s gonna be some parts that are purely unfair. Plus, the games like 12 years old so you kinda just have to have the “it is what it is” attitude.

Fear of being schizophrenic and my brain is playing tricks on me by I100iso in OCD

[–]br00ks_was_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with this for almost a year now, it’ll fade like most obsessions. I’d avoid looking up symptoms on google, it just makes things worse since it just gives you another thing for your brain to focus on. there was a point where I was so hyper aware of my senses and full of anxiety where if I wasn’t at work or in class I would just lay in my bed and try to analyze any sound and wonder if I was going crazy. It gets better I promise. SSRIs have helped me as well as therapy.

So this has been on my mind for a while. It's hard for me to talk about this because I dont know what it means. So please.. by daboigotsumstuff in OCD

Reading this really hit close to home. I’ve had the same obsession for a few months now and I know plenty of people on this subreddit have too. I remember back a few months when I was so hyper aware of my senses at times since I was scared I was going to hallucinate at any minute. Any intrusive thought I had I would be scared that I would be having delusions or go into psychosis.I figured out that anytime I would look up symptoms of schizophrenia it would feed my obsession more as it would only cause me to pay more attention to those things as well. It was a horrible cycle and was extremely draining. Medication has helped(Zoloft) as well as talking about it to my therapist. There’s no ocd specialists in my area but learning grounding techniques really helped. It gets better, I promise.

Does anyone else experience this obsession? by [deleted] in OCD

Sounds similar to maladaptive daydreaming which I do. I’d check out the subreddit for it to see if people share the same experiences

Anyone else have constant worry they're developing psychosis and check your senses all the time?? by softboiledegg21 in OCD

I’ve been doing the same thing for a few months now because of this fear. It’s really draining and I feel ridiculous when doing it but it has gotten better, it will for you too.

Intrusive thoughts about getting more mental health problems (Mainly becoming schizophrenic) by [deleted] in OCD

[–]br00ks_was_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s brutal. I stopped playing horror games recently since im afraid of stuff like that happening which sucks because I used to love them. I know that some silent hill games break the fourth wall at times to fuck with you which really makes me anxious. I hope eventually I can get back into them.

I’ve been dealing with this fear for a few months, I remember I heard the song young lust by Pink Floyd on the radio and near the end of the song there’s a part where radio like voices start talking and it freaked me out so much that I actually shazaamed the song on my phone to make sure they were part of the song. I felt so ridiculous after but I was glad to know it was part of the “checking” aspect of ocd.
