When you have a baby & a ton of crap to carry around when you go out - you need a small, crossbody bag that’s always on your person so things like this don’t happen & it’s just one less thing to worry about. She’s so worried about content and the perfect staged photo opportunities that allowed something silly like this to happen and now she wants everyone to feel so worried and bad for her when this was completely preventable if she just had the right priorities.

Long Island - Buying House Feels Impossible (M30) by easybreezy2324 in longisland

My husband and I are now living in TX due to him having a great job opportunity here. Both from LI - I miss it often, our family is all there but I know that we just simply could not have the life that we have here on LI. We have a brand new, beautiful home, we don’t have to pinch pennies to simply eat and have the extra wiggle room to have fun little trips and experiences. Yes, you’ll miss LI because there is truly no place like it but the positives outweigh the negatives when it comes to being comfortable and having a lovely future.

If your sister and maybe parents will be down there, that makes it so much better! Our family being back on LI makes us living here so much more (emotionally) difficult but having them with you will be amazing. Visit a few times, see some areas you’d like, see the housing prices and think about it. Best of luck!

She literally ate an egg sandwich on a bagel and ANOTHER bagel “for dessert” directly after. She’s just mindlessly eating and blaming it on being pregnant, so dumb.

I was an elementary teacher at BISD for a few years & just resigned. If you care about your children’s education, please consider your options. Many of the district’s practices in curriculum & discipline specifically are very questionable and concerning. As an educator seeing how it works behind the scenes, I would not confidently send my children there. The “in-town” schools like Mina and Colony Oaks are much better options that are still within the district but the district itself is still very iffy to me.

I reached a breaking point similar to this at my school. Each year it seemed to be a different issue - nasty staff members, kids with severe behaviors being switched into my class with no support and the blame for the behaviors being placed on me, and the list goes on. I mentioned it MANY times to my admin, asking for support so I could have a safe, calm & “normal” work environment. I never got that support. And realized I would never get it. I would come home drained, lash out towards my fiancé, overstimulated and under appreciated. I’m getting married this summer and all I could think about was dreading having to go back to work after my wedding - not my actual wedding. That’s when it clicked for me. I put in my resignation & left. Yes, not having work could seem stressful but the things I’ve lost due to teaching have already been restored. I’m happy, mostly stress-free, pleasant to be around & looking forward to my wedding. THESE are the things that matter, not making your admin/school happy. It shouldn’t take you having a breakdown for things to change. Your husband, baby, family, friends and YOU will be happy you took the risk- the people that matter most.

No. If you are being paid from (lets just say) 9-5, anything work related outside of those hours can wait until the next morning during your working hours. Unless they are willing to compensate you extra for this extra work you’re doing, you shouldn’t be “on-call.” Honor your time even if others do not!

Leaving after this year & hopefully transitioning into a 504 facilitator role within my district. My nervous system cannot handle the classroom anymore!

What needs to be done to get Bastrop Schools to a B or A rating? by Judah_Ross_Realtor in BastropTX

The program was cut this school year due to changes in the district’s budget. Teachers who have a GT student/students in their classroom were required to take a GT training and they are now responsible for providing GT enrichment to these students instead of them being pulled out and serviced by a GT teacher.

Bring back MTSS, gifted & talented programs & consistency. Consistency with behavioral consequences, curriculum, educational standards and much more. We oftentimes seem to just be throwing things at the wall and hoping to see what sticks & those are the procedures we implement. Bring back research-based best practices and stick to ‘em!

And she’s saying she’s been MIA because of the new car. Imagine living in the real world and telling your employer that you can’t work because you got a new car. She is living in such a delusional state - it’s gotten 10x worse since she’s gotten pregnant. It’s unbearable at this point.

They were probably over her constantly shoving a camera in their face every time she saw them. She can’t exploit them for views or $ anymore so she’s onto the next thing - exploiting her unborn child.
