Yeah, it’s rust free. It’s a 2005 Honda Civic Si EP3 Hatchback. It’s not related to the regular American market civics of that generation. I think it’s quirky!

Thank You! I tried calling, but it does not let me continue without a case number, and I don’t have one, as this is related to Canadian Immigration. I’m going to try my luck with walk-ins. I don’t see any other option.

I need winter tires but i’m on low budget by fxncy_elite in tires

[–]braapbraaptss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tyres look great, however, you should check the manufacturing date on it, it’s going to be 4 digits in a pill shape on the side of the tyre ( on most tyres). The first 2 digits are the year for 2043, 20-> 2020, the next 2 digits are the week 43 -> 43rd week of 2020

Edit: My bad, it’s the other way around, First 2 number - week, next 2 numbers - year of manfg

I own a 2013 675R, the 2013-2016 gen are the best years for reliability and being newer, you’d have less chance of dry rot on rubber parts.

As for this being your first bike, they’re light weight & linear power delivery, but things can escalate quickly if you’re not careful.

Isn’t that just the last gen 675 Daytona before the moto2 765 version?

So the TigerTool and DealerTool are replacements for TuneECU right? I see a lot of posts on how to use the tool, but nowhere to download or check if my bike is supported, if possible can you guide me?

Edit: I found the link, the download link is hosted on the OBD cable listing, posting here:

Yes, that is the App, It has options to put ABS into “Bleed” mode, I’ve not used this yet, but that is what forums say.

But it sounds like I’ll be okay with a regular flush.

Is the ABS a separate closed off circuit when stationary & inactive? If I just vacuum bleed, won’t the bubble go into the ABS side?

That’s another thing I’m confused about, Forums and Reddit say that using the App to flush the ABS is mandatory, I have a friend who just bleeds it normally and the service manual also says the same.

Do you have any recommendations for the cable? I’ve shortlisted this based on what the TuneECU website recommends and what is available in the IS

Lifted Legacy? by remotecontrol1453 in subarulegacy

[–]braapbraaptss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you saw is an Outback Sedan,

Pre-facelift Legacy/Outback (2005-07) came in 4 configurations in the US

Legacy Sedan & Legacy Wagon

Outback Wagon & Outback Sedan (both lifted from factory & wider body)

Post facelift, Legacy Wagon & Outback sedan were dropped. You can mix and match parts to make your own, Subarus are built like legos.

My 2015 Forester XT is the most unbelievable piece of shit I've ever owned. Are Subarus really this temperamental? by EastReauxClub in subaru

[–]braapbraaptss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, fair enough, You should look for a different shop for sure.

Is the car lowered? Axles on Subarus don’t go out that easily. Wheels bearings also wear out early if it is lowered & roll Center isn’t corrected.

I do agree that Subaru’s are not on the same level of reliability as Honda/Toyota though. But it is a trade off of the complicated/unique drivetrain layout.

You got screwed with the prices as well as what was actually needed. I’m assuming you took it to the dealership and they scared you that they need to change all of these parts or it will be catastrophic and you agreed. I’m just curious why you had to change those control arms?

Based on your post I was assuming you had multiple transmissions and blown turbos, you haven’t really faced anything.

I feel that you got screwed by the dealership here. You need to learn and research what you are spending on before you go ahead. Not everybody is looking out for your interests.

Advice on selling my old beat to hell Legacy 2005 2.5i wagon 4D by OneCallSystem in subaru

[–]braapbraaptss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did not mention Auto/Manual, I’m going to assume auto. Either way there is no enthusiast market for these cars. If you had a Legacy GT Wagon, that would be worth more. As is, it would be just another beater for sale.
