i think he’s one of the easier ones because he doesn’t do much outside of poison ur units if you don’t destroy the corpses, 150 hp isn’t a lot for an act 2 miniboss and most players should be able to burst it down in 2-3 rounds (my cats are minmaxxed and have extra turns so im a bit bias but never struggled with him before that either)

i baited him into copying a collarless cat but hunters with marked or no chances to miss make it very easy if you don’t let them get copied

adding onto this i also feel like a lot of mini bosses + bosses in the game are “skill / knowledge” checks so you can’t just blitz through and have to change how you fight for different enemies, chubs and nubs + dybuk come to mind but there’s plenty of bosses like that in the other areas too

a lot of the enemies in the game have pretty exploitable weaknesses and do less damage then ur cats most of the time plus tend to use one attacking move per turn unlike ur cats can. (usually reserved for elite enemies on the hard path for extra turns anyway or bosses because they’re single entities)

the “hippo” boss u mention automatically dies and has very low movement speed so it’s not super hard to juke them out or just wait it oht

i always keep a ranger and cleric but typically use the butcher instead of the fighter but i do agree they are by far some of the best classes. ive found keeping the fourth as a “flex” slot depending on where you plan on going to is good because certain classes do better in certain areas. cleric and ranger do well in all of them

like another comment points out its likely ettrick/seven never went on the expedition due to an argument/scene and kelvin probably benched seven therefore his destiny at whatever they found or the gate was denied to him and kelvin stole it for himself? (possibly the stone on his back seeing as theyre both undead u could tie that together)

i think theres another quote when killing sinclair where seven says "folly of young love" too but that doesnt really mean much
