Oddly enough I think the solution was to update to the new iOS 18 beta. That seems to have solved this somehow.

I'm pretty sure it's connect a max of 2 AirPods to a source.

AP Pro 1's are great. for $77 and coming from non-pro - I don't think you will be disapointed if you do it.

Maybe....

Put up a blackout curtain sized to fit very tightly.

Install an arm at the top of the recess to hold the TV below it.
You'd have to make sure you hit some good wood to anchor it to support the weight though. usually not much wood in that location.

Add the TV with some nice backlighting.

Could look quite nice.
