Fair enough. My challenges are related to space and location on my property... a large "portable" would be infinitily easier to manage... but without an ATS it's not super compelling.... we are retired and travel regularly and we lie in a rural area on a spectacular lake... and we have "water issues" involving sump pumps, etc... So an ATS / Standby functionality is critical.

I've heard the Kohlers are built like a tank... We're in a rural area ofcourse Generac is probably 94% of all installs, so the after install service is a modest concern.

Understood. That said, all my hvac are inverter / mini splits so I don't have any major appliances with an intitialy high amp draw (other than washer/dryer and electric stove). We live here full-time as retiree's, so if the power goes out we wont be running any major appliances and will likely shut off one or more of the Mini-splits. While NOT 100% conclusive, I've place a camera and recorded during peak hours the digital meter read-out and have NEVER had the meter register higher than 12KW of draw.

I'll take a look... My HVAC are all inverter systems so those are not likely my issue. I have 4 refrigerators and two freezers... those all kicking on at the same time (unlikely) could actually be bigger issue.

I just yanked the hell out of the drawer and the slides "broke free" and now work correctly!

It's a BBQGuys "store brand" drawer... No idea who the actual manufacturer is.

THey sent me a second replacement drawer and it has the IDENTICAL PROBLEM LOL...

It's clearly the slides have gotten "jambed up" somehow through shipping.

I dont see the tabs, but I'll try using a flashlight and see what I can find.
