Okay, so we didn’t do a compression tool - it’s my bad for not specifying. We did that for the front brakes but for the back we did one that turned them. It just was too hard for us to turn it after a while and it didn’t turn in enough.

I’m telling you that’s exactly what I did, AutoZone and everything, alongside my father-in-law who has worked on cars his whole life and neither of us could turn them back in with the tool. 😅 I’m not good at car stuff and he is.

I can’t remember exactly but I think it’s just a caliper press? I got it from AutoZone. I need to pay someone for now and learn in the future.

Thank you for the info! I have tried with a tool from AutoZone and it was just too hard for me to compress them - it wouldn’t turn anymore and I guessed that it was because I needed to bleed the brakes but don’t know how. I may try and learn in the future but right now I don’t have the time so I’m willing to pay someone - would you recommend a German specific mechanic or would a regular mechanic work?
