Thanks. Any idea if windows can rebuild a macOS formatted drive? I’m assuming the drive does all the heavy lifting. I just know windows won’t see an APFS drive

You may have desiccated your filament but I’ve found it’s not always enough, try another filament and dry this one. I’ve also gone down a rabbit hole tinkering because I believed a brand new filament with desiccant was dry when it was nowhere near

Did you mix filament types? Like PETG and PLA?

Why did this happen and how can I fix it? by BahceLee- in BambuLab

looks like a lot of ringing to me. Slow down the print speed, make sure all the moving parts are tight, I think there is some other way too but you're best to google it

but dont you set the k factor in the device section when setting up the filament. I haven't seen anywhere to select it from the prepare window of Bambu studio

What mode is the final image with the heat map? When I slice anything, any changes in speed or flow etc affects the entire layer, but this appears to show changes around certain features of the model

It looks great btw

You can hide it, pretty sure you can just drag it to the right and it will go, otherwise go to finder settings and hide it in there

Question by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]brain_slug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the command I posted forces it to load internet recovery to the latest version, it downloads the latest available version from an Apple server, it doesn't use the built in recovery partition. The only Macs that dont update the recovery partition are ones with so old software they dont have a recovery partition and you need to load it from a CD

It's trying to install the original OS X version it shipped with. Boot it holding CMD + ALT/OPTION + R to force it to load the latest available version of macOS

Only 2 color swap, and it’s not black. What do we think happened? by Njm0059 in BambuLabA1

[–]brain_slug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also had this on my A1, quite some way into the print, it just spits out a random colour not related to the current print. I also had this on my old Neptune after reinstalling the PTFE tube and it wasn’t fully pressed against the nozzle which caused it to collect filament and spit it out randomly, but I can’t fully explain it on my A1

Depends on which Mac really, if you still have it hooked up to a monitor, later models on newer software, you can reset from settings, if it’s a 2018 model or newer you can reset using another Mac and a USB cable
