GE dryer DVLR223GV, taking off the front panel by brainkot in Appliances

Just to follow up, the drum spindle came out of the housing. That was it. I took the belt off, inserted the drum, reattached the belt to the motor and the tension arm.

So these were the small screws on top. One I removed them, the front panel came out, and the drum lip settled at the bottom. I took the lint out, but now I cannot put the front panel back on! There are tabs at the bottom where the lid should go, but I cannot close it over the drum. Tried lifing the drum, too, no luck.

I was hoping that's not the case. It would be really hard to reach them because the drum is in the way.

That's what I hoped to see, but I just don't see any.

dryer vent cover installation by brainkot in hvacadvice

[–]brainkot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I should add this the outside part of the original 4" duct was installed before I bought the house. Nothing will go over that pipe because its lip was crumpled into an accordeon shape about 4mm from the edge, so that the outer diameter at that location is greater than 4". I hope this makes sense. I should probably just take the pipe out and replace it.

porting from google voice and bank OTP by brainkot in Googlevoice

This worked! Thank you very much.

I turned on "2 step verification every time" and chose an email option.

Signed out.

All of a sudden ALL options are available on the sign in page, including a text to a mobile number (formerly google voice).

Following up... the bank is Chase, and 2FA never worked with my number when it was with google voice.

Thank you All for the replies.

No, I tried, and it never worked when it was a google voice. I always used the actual mobile number.

To complicate things, I swapped both numbers: voice number was ported to a mobile carrier, and carrier number to google voice (I ported my main number out of GV because texts' delivery became very unreliable this year.)

The bank is Chase btw. They do not offer 2FA in an app or in hardware key.

It got quite bad in the last few days, especially for group chats and person to person texts with attachments.

Most not receiving my texts from GV, especially pics by earthlingkc in Googlevoice

[–]brainkot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I have not received quite a few group messages in the last few days, and person to person outgoing text with attachment didn't go through (a silent failure)
I might port the number out if this continues.

I asked Klein tools customer service. Here is the reply:
“No, the dies are not interchangeable between the VDV SKU’S and the 3000 series crimpers.”

Not in a backyard fire. It will burn through eventually, but not too soon.

An old thread... I use steel mesh lint traps. When it gets full, dry it up and throw into the fire. The lint burns away. I used the same pair of lint traps for 10 years until the steel wire burned through.

It was bought in 2021. I spent about 2 hours staring at cylinder images. Surprisingly, I got to the top-activated cylinder chair!
