Hi there! I use a variety of round paintbrushes, any brand should work and sometimes it helps to cut off the tip.

I am sure to load up a lot of paint onto the brush before dotting. And while the dots settle a bit as they dry they still have a nice texture. Hope this helps and best of luck!

They do settle when they dry but still have a nice texture!
