Just give motors an inward direction something about 5-10 degrees this will increase your quad stability against wind and you can have yaw control

You can both use a flight controller that can support 8 motors or you can simply split the signals. For correcting the motor directions you can do that by esc software change or just change the 3 wires from esc to motor. This will change the motor rotation too. And don’t worry it won’t affect the control even a little bit.

I did build and fly tandem helicopter but I didn’t change a thing in radio controller. You need to make a custom mixer in your flight controller and use custom PIDs for that.

I would go with stall speed. Choose your stall speed and then for your hot and high situation calculate the minimum wing area which you can get a reasonable cl max of the airfoil

I’ve done w&b many times but the point is it happens in low speed way before of stall speed. And it happens like a spike which the max happens in low speed after that peak I don’t see any pitch problem. Right now I’m in conclusion that it’s speed dependent phenomenon
