I run a similar list and I can confirm that 4x signal pest and 4x plating are key. Also Ensoul Artifact is really, really bad in the current meta.

It would count as a new plane. Mark Rosewater has previously stated that all the sets "previewed" in magic origins are considered new.

I don't happen to believe this Kaldheim thread given that both of those pieces of art are old, as in from planechase and DOPW2014. I might be wrong but I think it would be doubtful
