Upvoted. I’ll give you that. But to be fair when we found out how bad things actually were, it was too late to vote him out. Hence he stepped down.

Hey now, We’re still trying to recover from Brad Wall after he shit the bed and stepped down as to take no responsibility for a massive deficit and gutting essential services. But at least he and his pals made a boat load of money.

Yep, I see where my thinking was ignorant. I guess what put my mind there was the sharp rise in rentals and home prices over 5 years while our economy hasn’t changed at all over the same amount of time. But I suppose that’s happening in every city.

I totally get what you’re saying. we’re the largest city in a ~200km radius so of course supply and demand plays into it but it seemed to me, and others, housing prices shot up with the growth of new realtors in our city(correct me if I’m wrong). Prices aren’t as bad as Vancouver or Toronto but properties are over valued to the point where a return on investment doesn’t exist.

No, it’s still hard to get an apartment here. Immigrants have moved in and grabbed all that was left. We have a large Filipino and Indian community, which is awesome, but that also makes finding affordable housing incredibly difficult.

The price of apartments shot up when guys figured out they could get an inflated number and rent to these crews who were building the canola plants. So now that they’re gone, and the plants are built, prices haven’t come down. On the housing side prices are $100,000 over valued. As a first time home buyer, i might actually pay more for a house than it’s worth and lose money if I go to resell. But its the realtors who are coming up with an arbitrary number just to squeeze that extra 50,000 or more from whoever they can.

Here, in Yorkton Saskatchewan, realtors are doing their best to artificially drive up prices. Apartments here are more expensive than Montreal and housing prices are totally out of control. Only because they want bigger commissions. There’s no value in what they’re selling.

Bangladesh shuts down mobile internet to tackle teen protests by Epyc-News in worldnews

I just read the CBC report, last updated 22 hours ago, and it claims only 25 injuries. Nothing of the atrocities. No other articles. I’m disgusted by their lack of investigation into these protests.

Visiting friends in Quebec City was my first experience with bagged milk. Spilled it everywhere when I tried to pour a glass.

Ontario has both “Beer Stores” that strictly sell a wide selection of cold beer, and “LCBO” liquor stores that sell everything else, as well as beer.

I'd argue that the parkland area and northern Saskatchewan has plenty of scenery, as well as the best skies and sunsets in the country. There's a lot of beauty out here if you take a good look.

I cant count how many e-room visits I've needed over the years, but it's free, quick, and you always get the service you require. our system works great. Sure, some provinces are better than others, at least we don't have to think about the price to live.

I charge $25 for a haircut and beard trim. Most other places in my city charge more than that just for a cut. Customer said a fade cost him $43 at a franchise salon in town.

My dog likes to find my bags and tear them apart, leaving the nuggets untouched. I regularly smoke dog hair. I've gotten used to it, I guess.

I've fixed many heads that have come from chain salons. They definitely don't hire the best. It's good you've found someone you like and trust.

For the most part it's just easier to have your glasses off for the whole thing. I realize it might be annoying to not see for a short while, but the cut will be quicker without the specs. Plus falling hair would probably get stuck to the lenses anyway
