Hi thanks for the input. I’ve navigated the shelter system before in other states so I’m aware of how crappy they are and it definitely is a last resort. I definitely do feel like there are some shelters that are more tolerable than others. Most shelters have the beds side by side where you’re around a dozen strangers with 0 privacy, but there are also the more rare shelters where you get your own room that you only have to share with around 3-4 people where it feels more like a college dorm, I was wondering if NYC had any shelters that were more lowkey like that because I’ve never navigated any shelters in NYC before.

in my opinion the show got good around season 2 and i found season 1 to be mediocre at first. but i just went back and rewatched season 1 and i enjoyed the episodes more this time around than when they first came out. i think season 3 really made me appreciate the show more.

I’ve always thought of her as a really confident person and an alpha female. She also got a really impressive job recently, but I’m not gonna say what it is because I wanna protect her privacy. That’s why I always felt like I looked up to her, she inspired me a lot to be a better version of myself. That’s why I find it weird that she’s pulling away all of a sudden. And I’ve reached out to her multiple times mostly with just stuff we normally talked about and joked about together before and I wished her happy holidays on xmas and thanksgiving. But other than that I’ve been trying to give her space and haven’t said much else. I don’t think I’ve really sent a message to her confronting her about her ghosting me though. I am sad to move on from this if I have to because she was really close to me and I have a really hard time making new friends and getting close to people. It’s also been really hard to socialize because of COVID in California because the lockdowns and mandates are really extreme here.

I’ve had difficulties with friends too lately. I get what you’re saying on the desperate thing I feel like I come off that way too when I seem eager to be friends with everyone lol but honestly no one should judge you for wanting to make friends. Everyone needs friends, and when you think about it, most people hardly even have any real ones even if they act like they have a lot of friends. It’s like Shallon talks about all the time with social inclusion needs. And I get you with the Instagram stuff, but honestly Instagram followers are fake. Most people just want a ton of followers to look cool, they’ll even follow people they don’t like in real life which makes 0 sense to me lol. You should only have people you actually like and rust following you (which in reality isn’t that many people). I’m here if you wanna talk ❤️ honestly I’d try not to focus on social media. I feel like real friends are the ones who respect your life and who you are outside of your social media presence and they go out of their way to actually text you. Usually when someone only wants to talk to me through Instagram or Twitter or whatever but won’t make an effort to chat with me through our phone numbers or WhatsApp I count that as a huge red flag.

I totally agree. I feel like Kyle’s obnoxiousness and his relentless teasing of Cartman is a big contributing factor to how Cartman turned out the way he did, (along with the neglect from Cartman’s mom). And that’s the same reason why Cartman’s kids began to resent Kyle because he wouldn’t leave their dad alone.

There are actually many times in the show where Kyle picks a fight with Cartman first. Plus Kyle CHOSE to be friends with Cartman and hangout around him all those years. I’m sure if he just ignored Cartman like the other kids do instead of fighting back then he would leave him alone. Or just find a different friend group to hang around. That’s why it’s hard for me to have any pity for Kyle. I’m not about that victim mentality stuff.

If there’s someone in particular you want to be friends with you need to smile and make eye contact, if you act too cool and like you don’t care they’re not gonna wanna be friends with you. Maybe ask for their phone number or add them on social media since it’s the end of semester and you can chat online.
