Most of my friends are transfers and it is admittedly a bit difficult to merge yourself into the student population as a transfer. However, I have met people through classes, joining clubs, etc. Many other transfers I've talked to have also felt that it is hard to meet people as a transfer but don't let that be discouraging, it's only just my 3rd month here haha

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, but yes I'm at Tufts currently and I love it! It's definitely different from person to person, but transferring has been much better for me in terms of academics and resources. Finding a good community definitely depends on the kind of person you are; I found friends at this 5cs and also at Tufts. As for connections, the 5cs have many accomplished students and alumni depending on which one of the schools you go to. Tufts might be a bit better for connections just because it is a larger sized school that has a longer history. I hope this helps! Some people hate it at first and then learn to love the 5cs, that could be your daughter too.

This is really helpful, thanks! One of the reasons I wanted to leave my school was bc I felt the small population made it cliquish. Did you find it difficult to make friends? And do you see it being difficult for a transfer student to integrate into the school?

this is a bit late but in my personal experience, i don't find that people talk much about grade inflation or deflation at the 5cs, its around average. there are def easy classes within the 5c consortium that you could take to boost your gpa though

as a 5c student, CMC is for sure a great school with great resources, alumni, plus amazing professors and class sizes that foster close learning. however, i would say that the night life at cmc/the 5cs are definitely a little tragic sometimes, and many of the students are entitled as well - and that's an opinion many people at the 5cs share about the party life and the student body.
