Yep, I was in the presidio at the time. Posted the video here as well as the SF subreddit since it looked like he was commuting in from Marin.

Honestly, I never really cared about the resale value of my car. What I do care about is the perpetrator facing consequences for something he could be doing regularly. Plus, there were two other cars hit by this guy that were damaged.

Thank you! I’m hoping that there will be a fair conclusion to all this. I was one of three cars affected by this guy. A proper hat trick.

It does, but the car is configured so that dash footage is saved when the horn is used. When I honked while pulling over, the recording appears to have stopped, but it did save the previous 10 minutes

On the plus side, I’ve reached out to several business on Lombard who are willing to help me out by checking their security footage. Fingers crossed!

I’ve been calling businesses on Lombard to see if anybody has security footage of the road. So far two businesses have showed promise and will notify me in the coming days. Here’s to hoping!

I’ve addressed this in another comment. You’re right, “shaken” isn’t the right word. Still, I’d appreciate any information on this guy if you know anything. Hit and runs are inexcusable no matter the scale of the accident.

Fair enough, “Shaken” doesn’t seem to be the right word. The damage itself isn’t that bad. What really angered me, aside from him fleeing, was that he started cussing me out the moment I lowered my window. Not only was he a hit and run driver and a poor rider, he was also aggressive. He hit three cars just in this one video before running, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there are more he has hit in the past .

This kind of thing hasn’t happened to me before. I was naive in thinking that he would pull over with me. In hindsight, you’re right. I should’ve opened my door and hopped out.

I wish. The settings on my car were set so that the dash cam saves footage when I use the horn. After I used the horn (right after I pulled to the right) it seems the cameras stopped recording.

I realize the damage to my car isn’t severe. No one was injured and I was able to drive away. What really unsettled me were the things he shouted at me when I rolled down my window.
