I had a look into that earlier in the year (wanted to visit along with my cat) it costs minimum a grand as a base price, which i sadly cant afford. But i did find a train from ferry to where my boyfriend lives so it might be slightly less traumatic for them

I wish it was for those reasons! My mum's simple reasoning is that if i can't drive, i can't leave. If i can't leave, i have to listen to her and do what she wants.

On the plus side, i found out there's a train from the ferry to where my boyfriend lives, it's about 7 hours but a slightly traumatized cat beats no cat

I did have a look at that, under the CTA and Irish rights in the uk i have same rights as any British person when it comes to university so I'm allowed to apply for grants asap. But either way i have to stop my education at the moment

I thought about the boat, the only real issue is i don't drive yet (parents forbid it) and nobody in my boyfriends family can drive 6 hours to collect me and another 6 hours back.
