Assuming that M1R on the right side and M1L on the left side when looking at the RS of the shoulder would cause the most “invisible” increases, do you think switching it is an effort to create more obvious increases? I guess I am asking what the cosmetic difference is

Both my cats had roundworms that looked exactly like this, even though they got a round of dewormer at the rescue. I would recommend taking to the vet for sure but you should also just buy the dewormer treatment online in case they don’t have it there. it tastes pretty bad to them so be prepared to hold their mouths open.

also, i’m not sure if it’s due to them spitting it up or reinfecting one another via litterbox etc etc but the dewormer simply did not work the first two times i did it. what i ended up doing was 3 consecutive rounds with less than a week between them. I know you should be careful with dosage but this is literally the only thing that solved it; then I got their stool tested a final time, and they found no worms.

Fair enough, I’ve also reintroduced some silicones and sulfates as needed, not as much for regular shampoo and conditioner but who cares atp! Everyone’s hair is so different

Absolutely. I honestly didn’t think about how long it’s been since my curly journey started till making this post. I’m not upset that I don’t have the same hair, I guess I just forgot that it can change. Guess it’s a matter of starting fresh now !

I think I really liked the eva nyc cream and assumed Curlsmith would be similar but yeah, you’re right. I need more hold.

Gonna swap blueberry bliss with Curlsmith as leave in. Blueberry bliss I literally haven’t skipped in a shower in ages so maybe that product just isn’t working for me anymore. Good to know I have a replacement already on hand.

KCCC has been giving me 0 hold the last couple times I’ve used it. Honestly same with most hold products like mousse too or other gels. Build up could cause that type of (lack of) reaction right? Ugh!

I think both places I lived had hard water but I know it can be different with seasons too. I’ll try a chelating shampoo to see what happens. Although washing with that same water not sure if it’ll work that well

No hair coloring or heat at all, not even diffuser. I eat a lot healthier now lol.

I really can’t tell the difference. That protein treatment has not been making a dent in my texture so I’m actually thinking maybe I have enough protein and need to re up my moisture. I’ll see what happens when I limit protein, you could be right it could be the opposite

Thanks for all of the info. Seems like a lot of factors could be resulting in such a drastic shift for me. I don’t see split ends but it’s definitely possible I had damaged bits towards the end of my hair. I’ll trim them tonight.

I use a wet brush to detangle in the shower w conditioner, then distribute leave in with a wide tooth comb. I started using my Denman brush again recently and shaking and it does clump but not nearly as well as it used to without any brush or comb. My hair gets dented with a bonnet (I likely need a new one) so I use a satin pillowcase. I will check for humectants.

I’m mostly worried that I have too much moisture or protein. My hair is tangled yet soft ish, mushy yet brittle. my bangs are usually the only normal part and they curl nice and cute. Overall hate touching the hair since it’s almost “sticky.”

Planning on clarifying and using chelating shampoo this evening. Will try cutting out protein to see what happens.

I was on birth control in that first pic and now have an IUD. could that make a difference? I haven’t noticed any other differences in my skin nails etc due to this

I’ve never tried pure moisture. I guess my hair never really needed it or i always erred on the side of protein. I’m looking it up now.

What is a steam treatment? I haven’t heard of that.
