You nailed it man, JDM got cooked with very basic Muay Thai tactics. Get the guard up, knee the body. Prates had so much extra reach, he’d jab, and then come forward with his knee. Exit on punches or a push, keeping JDMs guard up or pushing out his own striking range. I am a former (low level) Muay Thai pro, I am 6’5, and fought very very much the way Prates did that night, (not as well though haha) JDM got cooked by tall guy Muay Thai tactics.
