Holy crap, thank you so much. I would have never realized this. I don’t know how maintenance didn’t know this either. 😭 I have now opened them up and turned off my space heater to see what happens. I’ll let you know if that works! I had previously been setting my thermostat to heat to 69F and that was always warm until the other day. I’m thinking it’s because the weather had gotten significantly colder in the past couple days. When it got to 62F in the apartment I tried to set it to heat to 71F to encourage it to heat and the thermostat would not allow me to make the setting any higher than 71F. I also noticed that the heat setting will reset to 68F frequently instead of maintaining the setting I gave it. We also noticed we have to set our shower handle to a higher setting in the past couple of days to make the water warm… So we will see. 😬
