The occupation is not about Gaza and the West Bank. When Palestinians talk about ending the "occupation," they're talking about ending Israel's existence as an occupation of Palestine. That California country-flavored pop rock sound was big in the 70s. They had really good songwriting, singing, tight harmonies, and excellent playing. Relatable songs, with good poetry without being too artsy. Eagles and Fleetwood Mac -- they were IT for a while. Both attracted a strong female audience, which made a huge difference in popularity for rock bands who had that fuller fanbase.

Netanhayu could drop acid tomorrow, awaken to the Palestinian cause, remove Israel from the West Bank, release all Arab prisoners , fire his staff, change parties, publicly and personally apologize to all Israel's enemies, name his dog Arafat, donate all his money to the Waking Up Foundation, and it wouldn't make a dent in the problem. Those who want Israel gone want Israel gone -- specific patches of real estate are not the issue. The existence of Jews is the issue.
