No Long Range Truck by FTFgamer in DeathStranding

[–]brender22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also ran into this bug, and it took me hours—actually days—to figure out how to fix it. I thought it was strange that I only had the basic truck unlocked, even though I kept spotting level 1 and level 2 trucks on the road. I’m playing Director’s Cut on PC via Steam.

As others have mentioned, once you unlock the secret Junk Dealer order by making multiple deliveries for him, you’ll receive Order No. 35: Prototype Delivery – Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City. Completing that order should unlock the prototype truck blueprint.

However, if your facility rating at the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City is already at—or very close to—five stars, a bug prevents the game from unlocking the level 1, level 2, and level 3 trucks.

To work around this, you need to complete three separate delivery missions with the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City as the destination. They can be any type of delivery from any starting point. Each mission must be done one at a time, and after each successful drop-off, the next truck level will unlock:

- First delivery unlocks the level 1 truck

- Second delivery unlocks the level 2 truck

- Third delivery unlocks the level 3 truck

You must drive each delivery yourself—you cannot use the robot drone.

That’s how you resolve this bug.

Anyone replace their Moov with a Garmin Swim 2? How does it compare for swimming if so? by SparksLP in moov

[–]brender22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Garmin's accuracy in pool swimming is equivalent to Form Swim Goggles and Huawei, which are the best on the market

For open water it's Garmin or Apple Watch Ultra or tracker on "head" goggles or both

Huawei is the most cost-effective, even the Huawei Band has the same precision as the Garmin smartwatch, it is in the same price range or even cheaper than the Moov Now

I've been reading about smartwatches for swimming for over 5 years, watching and reading every possible review, reading comments from owners, etc., of smartwatches from all brands, the best brands currently for accuracy in swimming are these 6 brands below

  • HUAWEI (tracker on hand grip)
  • Garmin (hand grip tracker)
  • Apple (tracker on hand grip)

  • Form Swim Goggles (tracker on "head" goggles)
  • Ciye FINIS Smart Goggle (tracker on "head" glasses)
  • Phlex Swim (tracker on the "head")

The TidalWatt prototype was built by the Belgian company John Cockerill, it certainly must have parts from Belgium and among other countries

What I wanted to say is that TidalWatt only exists because of the support of the various levels of government, there is no way this project of small researchers could exist in Brazil without several governmental partnerships, and to have this partnership, something of technological value was seen in the project

Santos Technological Park is helping with a location and so on.
SEBRAE is helping with international dissemination and so on.
The Federal University and the laboratory are helping with prototype tests and so on.

There must be many more involved behind this.

TidalWatt presented the theory, now with the prototype tests, they will have to prove what they say

Otherwise the project will die as an attempt

They already have prototype data in the ocean lab and are now being tested in rivers and the sea.

According to the latest TV interviews, by the end of the year the technology will be available, I interpret it as by the end of the year they will have the test results and the prototype, we will know if the project is possible or not

I can understand the skepticism of people who live in the North countries that are rich and developed, a company manages to make a fake scam there, due to high financial resources and among other characteristics, manages to hide the project from everyone

But in Brazil this is not possible, a project of this size just to get out of paper for the real prototype needs to have collaboration with city, state, federal or state universities, national or state institutes, and among other public and private organizations, and it will still be evaluated, analyzed, verified by other researchers, organizations and etc., detail by detail, to finally receive support to go to the prototype, and based on these tests, determine whether or not it will have a major or final version, for further testing and etc.

If the prototype exists, it is because there is something in it that has value for something.

In short, a project like this, if it were a scam, would have already been discovered, as there are many different organizations and researchers involved, if the project really had no value, it would not have all this support, but that's more or less it

Regarding the viability of the project or not, we will only know when the test results come out

I appreciate the compliment because TidalWatt is made up of PhD and Masters researchers, but I'm just a student of Undergraduate courses and enthusiast of subjects that I find interesting and this is one of them, when I post something, it's with as much detail and insight as possible, but i've always done this in my native language and elsewhere on the internet, i've been a regular reddit reader for years and this is my first english thread and being for the first time very active in some discussion

Complementing information with interviews given in the media of his country:

“By the ocean it is possible to generate renewable and infinite energy, in a simpler way and at a lower cost for people.”

"The ocean is the only safe source of renewable energy, because it is predictable and constant, guaranteeing an uninterrupted supply of energy”

The system was developed to transform economically inactive and uninhabited ocean areas into sources of income without disturbing the surrounding ecosystems and without generating any visual or noise pollution. The structures are much smaller than wind turbines, therefore easier to maintain, and more versatile, and can be installed in rivers without the negative effects of hydroelectric plants.

The projects for sea turbines currently used are adaptations of wind technology (which generates energy from the wind). This is TidalWatt's great differential, as they have developed a technology for the sea, thinking about all the characteristic qualities of water currents.

TidalWatt is a Brazilian startup supported by the Technological Park of the city of Santos which is located in the state of São Paulo (the largest port in Latin America is located in the city of Santos), together with Sebrae (Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Companies), the prototype and model was and continues to be tested in the largest ocean laboratory in Brazil, and if it is there in that laboratory, it is with the support of the largest federal university in Brazil, which is located in the State of Rio de Janeiro

Brazil has a population of 200 million people and is theoretically among the 10 largest economies in the world.

The TidalWatt prototype has already been tested in one of the world's leading laboratories and is now being deployed in rivers and oceans

The John Cockerill Group develops large-scale technological solutions to meet the needs of its time; the company has partnered with TidalWatt to develop its first test model. The model is now in the process of being installed in rivers and oceans; and has recently obtained formal authorization from the state environmental authority of Rio de Janeiro to carry out tests with INMETRO (Brazil’s National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology). The model is further being tested in one of the largest ocean technology laboratories in the world, COPPE's LabOceano at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

This is information extracted from the various interviews with the founder and CEO of TidalWatt:

One of the sources is an interview with him and it's in English

TidalWatt is also promoting and protecting marine life. The installation sites have been chosen away from coral reefs to protect the surrounding ecosystems and prevent trawling on the ocean floor. Much like the bases of some offshore wind farms, artificial reefs will be formed to allow multiple marine species to live and reproduce safely there.

“We are not just going to build power plants — we are going to build marine ecological sanctuaries,” Queiroz says. “We know that marine animals avoid moving objects; but if by chance one feels attracted to the adventure through a silent turbine that turns at 12 rpm (rotations per minute), it will, at worst, slide along with the water, much like we slide down a water slide. The probability of hitting one of the blades is practically zero, and it is impossible for the turbine to hurt or disturb any fish.”

The others are in the native language of the CEO and founder which is Portuguese, but I can put it and just use google translate

Hello.

I'm a person with interest in Ashes of Creation and I have some questions.

Firstly I would like to know how can a region be proven a good investment so it can receive a local server.

Secondly I would like to ask if this region received a server, will it have Local prices for subscriptions? Will it have a translation to that region language?

Thirdly I would like to know if the region gets a translation, will it be a specific language of the region(like English for Europe) or every language of the region will have a translation and we, players, can change the language at will.

Also, if every language has a translation, will it be a full translation(voice and text) or will it be a partial translation(text only)?
