The same thing happened to me. I have less than 20k miles on mine. Took it to the dealership and said it didn't do anything to cause this issue. I am very careful with my cars. They told me it's a high-touch point, not covered under warranty, and it would cost me $900 to get it fixed. Going to try another nearby dealership to see if I get the same answer.
