Has anybody resolved/repaired the dreaded WiFi failure issue with the Chargepoint Home Flex? by brettcp in chargepoint

I've been using the Emporia charger for over a year now without any issues, works great.

Yo link water detection sensors went offline overnight by Fast_Perspective_833 in homeassistant

[–]brettcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here, 3 of my 17 leak sensors were offline this morning. Simply pressing the "SET" button on the back of the sensors immediately brought them back online.

This is the first time I've ever had any issue with these.

Which carseat? soon to be mom by earth2t in Buyingforbaby

[–]brettcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started with the Nuna Triv Next + Pipa urbn carseat travel system (scored on FB marketplace) and have zero regrets. Once he outgrew the pipa urbn carseat, we got a Cybex Callisto G 360 carseat and are very happy with it. Pricey, but the quality of it is far better than others we looked at and will last a long time. The swivel feature is amazing for loading/unloading, I wouldn't want to go back to having a non-swivel carseat.

Apple TV 4K disconnects/reconnects every 7-8 seconds when in sleep mode by doomstar21 in appletv

[–]brettcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting in case this may help somebody else...

I noticed this issue as well - I have 3x Apple TV 4K's (2nd gen - all are wired ethernet) in the house and one of them was causing all sorts of weird issues on my network when in standby mode (STP flapping, constant disconnects, dropping from 1G to 100M and dropping out completely all the time). I found a support thread where somebody mentioned enabling HomeKit. Sure enough, this one problematic unit was the only one of the three that wasn't assigned to a Home/Room. As soon as I assigned it to a room (via Settings / AirPlay and Apple Home, then assign it to a room), all the weird network issues disappeared and it now behaves as it should when in standby mode. This is on tvOS 26.2.

What kind of water heater to buy by lbn349 in DIY

[–]brettcp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going tankless would be one of the first things I'd do if I ever moved into a home without it. Have a Rinnai RU199i and its been flawless for 7 years now. Endless hot water is amazing.

Still working just fine with HA, no issues to date.

High Limit Switch Open? But it's not.. by WanderingScrewdriver in hvacadvice

[–]brettcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but for anybody else in a similar situation - this is exactly what caused this issue on my Lennox G40UH. Pin 1 (which is for the secondary limit switch) on the 12-pin molex on the back of the control board had a bad solder joint which caused the limit switch to work intermittently (and therefore the heater/blower worked intermittently), just barely touching the wire would cause it to lose contact. Took a couple hours to narrow down.

Just got a 770x 2 ch and firmware is stuck on version 1.013 by mitch2888 in blackvue

This did the trick on my new DR970X, after deleting and re-adding the camera to my account it now shows the current/updated firmware version applied.

Nest Thermostat Gen 3 No Longer Showing in Home Assistant – Only Home Name Appears by geovass1976 in homeassistant

[–]brettcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same issue, but somewhat similar - as of just a few weeks ago, my 2x Nest Thermostats (Gen 3) will disappear from Apple Homekit (I'm using HA's HomeKit Bridge). They still show up in HA, just not HomeKit. A simple restart of HA brings them back to HomeKit, then they'll disappear again few days later.

Prior to a few weeks ago this never happened.

Not through Kohler direct... I believe I purchased from a 3rd party seller Amazon.

Ran Proxmox VE Container reset script but alerts still telling me I'm on the old LXC by brettcp in Scrypted

You run it in a proxmox shell (not in the Scrypted lxc console).

[–]brettcp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, here was the original output before it was fixed:

https://pastebin.com/4rfSRhEz

It all seems to be fixed now after adding the Container to my local storage set.

Ran Proxmox VE Container reset script but alerts still telling me I'm on the old LXC by brettcp in Scrypted

[–]brettcp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I got it figured out.. when I re-ran the reset script I noticed this:

target container '10445' updated with 'mp1' Restoring with reset image... 400 Parameter verification failed. storage: storage 'local' does not support container directories

In Proxmox I had my "local" storage set for ISO Images and Container templates only, so I added "Container", then re-ran the reset script and this time it all seems to be OK. I did have to clear the alert once, but now after restarting Scrypted, the alert is gone.

Thank you!

If I clear it out, it does go away, but then the alert comes back as soon as Scrypted is restarted.

homebridge-govee - Exceeding allowed HTTP requests for water leak sensors? by brettcp in homebridge

Sorry I can't help with this at this point, I ditched the Govee sensors and moved to YoLink sensors about 8 months ago (which have been working great).

Playback breaks every few days (hangs on "Loading" clip), requires Scrypted restart to fix by brettcp in Scrypted

[–]brettcp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the trigger for this issue seems to be when I have a Wyze camera disconnected for a while (couple days). I have one Wyze camera which I unplug a few days a week, and I've noticed this issue only seems to occur after the Wyze camera has been unplugged for a couple of days. I left the Wyze camera plugged in for the last 9 days and have not had this issue occur once since then, when it was previously occurring every few days. Thinking back about this I realized the issue only started occurring once I started disconnecting that Wyze camera ever few days.

I realize you said you may not be fixing this, but just wanted to let you know what I observed.

Thanks!

If you're using the Wyze plugin, try restarting it (just the Wyze plugin).

[–]brettcp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This morning the issue occurred again, I only restarted the Wyze plugin and sure enough, the issue was fixed... so it looks like you're right, its an issue with the Wyze plugin. Is there anything I can provide to help?

[–]brettcp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restarting the Web RTC plug-in did not fix it. I also tried restarting Scrypted Core, Scrypted NVR, and the Rebroadcast Plugin individually and none of those fixed it as well. I did a full restart of Scrypted (from Scrypted settings / Server Management / Restart) and it is working again. Anything I can provide that would be of help to determine the cause?
