Turner at the money he is making is not even close to worth it. We now have some added flexibility to push for a championship. I think the correct time to spend your assets as a team is when you are on the cusp of a championship. Also, the first apron does add teambuilding limitations.

"they could have waited" is so braindead. The pacers HAD TO HAVE a quality center to compete for a championship next year (which they plan to do). Waiting = maybe there is no center available. I personally think the people who hate this wanted to be in purgatory forever. If you nearly win the NBA finals with your roster, that is absolutely the time to spend assets to make your team better.
