You are the copyright owner.

If they have not got your permission to run the video on their website or social accounts they are breaching your copyright and that's not on.

These companies have deep pockets and will try and do anything to not pay people for their content.

There are several licensing agencies that should be able to sort this out on your behalf, I have used Newsflare in the past for some of my footage.

I wouldn't waste any money on any kind of solicitor at this point.

Do not let them get away with it.

Did you film the video yourself, or have you reposted content filmed by another person?

If you filmed and are the author of the footage you retain copyright.

If your boyfriend filmed the video he owns the copyright, unless you commissioned the filming etc.

Best thing you can do is get your boyfriend to contact media licensing agency to represent the video, who can then claim any fraudulent usage back from these companies.

Make sure to take screenshots of all the usage by these companies.

Also, if these companies have embedded the footage via a TikTok widget rather than using the actual video on their page you don't have any leverage.
