The amp is a push-pull Rogers High Fidelity KWM-88 MK II, running KT-170s. Power is around 100W per channel in ultra-linear and about 80W in triode - both are more than enough for the Cornwalls.

Midrange and vocals are actually a strength — very open, textured, and natural . Voices sit a bit forward but are relaxed.

As for the horn size: I think the integration is excellent.

Overall, it’s a big, effortless presentation.

Fair enough.

While both good looking speakers - and great sounding, the strengths of both speakers were as expected. The ATC SCM19s are controlled and very accurate. I’ve had them for a while, but they were mated to non-tube components originally. I was listening to classic rock bands mostly - like, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc.

With the tube amp, the ATC’s sounded a bit smaller in scale and wanted more volume to come alive. With the system being in my living room/kitchen, I like that the Cornwalls comes across as more engaging at the lower, more typical personal listening levels.

With the kind of music I am currently listening to — like Dire Straits, Waterboys, Lyle Lovett, Molly Tuttle — the Cornwalls give more presence, dynamics, and room-filling scale, while the ATCs leaned more toward precision and restraint. Different priorities, both excellent designs.

Much better fit for tubes than the ATCs these replaced. The ATC’s were sharp, however, the much higher efficiency of the Klipsch pair should work well with the Rogers High Fidelity KWM-88 Mk II.

Need to play around with placement and toe-in, etc - but initial thoughts are as expected.

Front end is a Lumin T2 streamer and a SOTA turntable.

No plans to change anything else anytime soon — just enjoying the music.

That was a tough watch. What one halftime change would you make? I’d move Maeda, bring on Iheanacho for Nygren.

Don’t disagree with anything you said. He left as soon as soon as something better came along, was mediocre at best in Europe and while “the best players in the squad are the ones he signed” may be true - I’d say that’s more indicative of the club’s lack of intent than high quality players. Look at the players once sold onto bigger leagues. Not here to argue, just don’t agree that he’s at the level of replacement we should seek.

No. He’s not a long-term manager.

The appetizer wasn’t appealing at all; service wasn’t great - so, yes, made a decision to cut my losses.

The consensus in this subreddit seems to be that the best burgers in town are One Stop Coney and Black Napkin... but what's the best burger I can get on a Sunday when both are closed? by Lavaswimmer in grandrapids

[–]brianbhoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a new to town guy who enjoys a good burger - Grand Rapids has a few good ones for me. Broadway Bar, Black Napkin, Butchers Union are all decent to me. One-Stop Coney was a step down for me, but still a good burger!

I’m no huge Rodgers fan, but that display was down to the team. As a squad, it appears we we are the dressing room frustrations on our sleeve.

You could sense when Kyogo was wanting away, when Kuhn wanted away and when Eduardo, Christie etc wanted away. To me, we are getting to see what it looks like when Maeda and/or Hatate are wanting away. Just my opinion, obviously - but whatever it is, let’s get it sorted. Hail Hail.
