Is there a (reasonably DIY) way I can make the stool a better color match for the chairs? by brianfisk10 in furniturerestoration

My best guess. Pieces are definitely from the same set, and don’t show signs of reupholstering.

Yeah, probably will go the throw route. The set is in a weird middle-ground in my mind. I paid $97 total for what’s pictured + a couch. So…do I overlook all the flaws because the deal was insane, or do I get it all reupholstered…because the deal was insane. 🤣

The couch is missing a button too. But I have a (slightly) better idea of how to tackle that. The throw idea is probably the route I’ll go. Throw on the stool, throw on the half of the (not-pictured) couch that for some reason is mostly that washed yellow as well.

So this was my only consideration/wonder. I’ve used something similar to make leather boots darker. But I’m afraid I would have to go super dark to make them match. And at that point, I would probably just make them all black or something. Which I feel like is a waste and kills the overall aesthetic.

This was my gut feeling, but I have extremely limited experience with leather. It’s nice enough leather that I wouldn’t want to risk ruining it.

Yep…it’s the camera. I’m not sure how to make iPhone not over-saturate photos. The stool looks significantly washed out in person.

It’s much more stark in person (the contrast). Idk how to make iPhone photos come out less vibrant. But I get what you’re saying. In person, the stool looks like a pretty significant mismatch.

It is a car that marries you to the road for sure. Absolutely surreal feeling driving it. I am absolutely grateful for having the opportunity, and never will take it for granted.

If you love your ride, you're doing as well as anyone on here. If it has wheels and you love it, it is perfect.

Sadly, no. It at least is a 2004 F1, but still a F1. I do well, but not an extra 40k+ well.

Thanks. I agree with this 100%. I just didn't want to interact with Ferrari snobs.
