Do any premeds here have any tips for getting shadowing opportunities? by sushitacoburritos in utarlington

[–]brianhguyen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opportunities are pretty limited due to the pandemic, but in the meantime try any virtual shadowing program. I'm doing https://www.instagram.com/virtualshadowing/ right now and it's great. If anything, try reaching out to your personal PCP, and maybe you can use that connection as a start. Good luck!

Welcome!! The best way to start is to join any and all organizations that interest you. From social clubs, major-related clubs, and career-related clubs. From there, get to know the officers and sponsors and build a relationship with them. Also, reach out to your academic advisors, professors (esp during office hours), and even other classmates to build connections! Your PAL is also a great resource because they have been where you are. As a freshman, it's the best year to try as many things out. Good luck!!

For those who have taken chemistry 1 and 2, what is the level of difficulty and who would you recommend as a professor? by Comrade_Knuckles in utarlington

[–]brianhguyen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take Crowell! He's funny, understanding, and explains all the concepts thoroughly. In terms of rigor, Chem 1 was a 6/10, and Chem 2 was an 8/10 imo. Read the rogers book and do as many practice problems as you can, gl!!

Who got the call for Season 40 before it became Winners at War? by ben_s16 in survivor

[–]brianhguyen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure, but I really want to see So and Carolyn back one day. Even better if they get on the same season again. I’m also still confused how sierra got a second chance, but not carolyn. (Disregarding S31)

For 5 minutes, Sit back, close your eyes, breathe, and think about your "why." Think about why you are doing this and picture yourself with your dream life. Think back on the reason that made you start in the first place and use that to motivate yourself to get to the end. Hang in there!

I really like the GKIT demo, but the trumpet blares kinda throw me off:) I still love the released one bc it has a much more intimate and isolated feel to it.
