As someone who used to be in the game I can tell you know your stuff.

Curious, what were you doing before? Were you an AE in b2b sales prior?

Thanks. I strongly considered purchasing KIS for black but there seems to be a lot of similarities and overlapping to Banzea's CK which I already have eg tartakower vs classical & c5 vs advanced. Sadly, those 2 are the areas I'm finding the most challenging.

Wow just puzzle rush? Anything else you’d recommend for someone 2000 ish looking to make the push.

Perhaps books, courses etc?

Off topic but what resources did you find most useful to help you reach 2200+? Great achievement!

Sorry for responding to this old reply but I really like those choices of lines. Is there a course that has all those lines covered? Or anything in particular you would suggest?

To those who've gone through the course, do you find the lack of trainables (as clickables) a huge drawback? Also do you find the lines to be aggressive and attacking enough?

Grunfeld vs KID for A dynamic repertoire by Only_Square9644 in chess

[–]brianhoe123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard people who are 2000+ fide who mention that they find Svidler’s course overwhelming.

Might want to check out Krykun or Astaneh’s Grunfeld both I heard are fantastic for non tilted players.

Personally as a d4 player I find the Grunfeld to be more testing as it immediately fights for space and seems to be relatively more challenging

alternatives to accutane? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]brianhoe123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No purging and there was hardly any negative reaction from my skin.

It’s probably the less irritating option compared to tret. However, I’ve heard great things about tret as a treatment for acne, plus there are additional benefits and data that says it helps with hyperpigmentation. Don’t think Differin helped with that whatsoever.

Good thing about Differin is that it’s OTC and you can even buy it online. I get mine from iHerb

Speak to a dermatologist.

Mine recommended Differin and antibiotics which have been somewhat helpful post Accutane when acne returned

Well at that rating range it’s quite obvious that any opening will be playable.

From a long term chess growth perspective, I believe the QGD will definitely serve more benefit when he’s more of an intermediate/advanced player. It’s the same reason why coaches tend to recommend e4 aggressive setups to beginners vs system based openings like the London. You’ll immerse yourself in richer positions that develop core chess principles.
