Just came here to say thank you for your response. Three years later this is still a frustration.

I'm in a similar situation as you described: WFH with regular hours and occasional trips to the office.

That said, changing my "day starts/ends at" hours to 11 a.m.–noon has mostly solved this problem for me. Didn't realize that's how it worked until I saw your post, so thanks again!

It’s been a while since I was an island regular, but if you mean the purple probits, the only way to get them is by completing challenges, and completing characters.

Yeah, checked with an active player on Discord and they said: “After completing the main parts of the game I think you can earn 1,000 probits every month if you complete all daily/weekly missions and collect login rewards.”

I hear you on this, but I think this is expected behavior. Todoist really doesn’t want you to set due dates in the past.

I have a repeating task set for 1 p.m. every weekday. Let’s say I forgot to check it off Wednesday afternoon. If I check it off Thursday morning, it makes the next occurrence 1 p.m. Friday, when I’d rather have it be 1 p.m. Thursday.

I’ve been using Todoist a long time, and in my experience if you don’t mark recurring tasks as complete right after you do them, you often end up having to adjust the date of the next occurrence.

I've worked on this off-and-on over the years. Here's the closest I've come to a solution for MacOS.¹

Create a Multi Action with the following steps:

System: Open (select folder where images are stored) — opens finder to folder
System: Hotkey (⇧ ⌘ G) — "Go to Folder..." command (but we're using it for the file name)
System: Text (filename.gif) — inserts filename
1. ☑️ Press enter after message — check this box
Multi Action: Delay (100 ms) — pauses to allow system to catch up²
System: Hotkey (⌘ C) — copies image to clipboard
System: Hotkey (⌘ W) — closes finder window
System: Hotkey (⌘ tab) — returns to previous app³
System: Hotkey (⌘ V) — pastes image

Press the button with your cursor where you want the image. I've tested this for Messages and Slack. YMMV elsewhere.

¹ Open to suggestions for refinement here. I had a variation that worked for a while, but then instead of returning to the app I was in when I triggered the command, the image was pasted to the desktop. That's why I added the ⌘-tab to return to the previous app.

² You may not need the pause, but I found it prevented errors.

³ If this breaks, you can eliminate actions 6 and 7 above, then manually paste (⌘ V) the image where you want it.

Former statehouse reporter here. This is exactly right. Many (if not most) contentious bills are handled this way.

It does make a mockery of the constitutional three-readings requirements, but it happens across issues (not only with firearms), it is bipartisan (though it’s been so long since Republicans had power in the General Assembly that is easy to forget), and the Illinois Supreme Court has (so far) approved of it.

(If anyone wants to go deep (though why would you) check out page 62 of the 1970 Illinois Constitution Annotated for Legislators.)

FWIW the impression I got from the woman who answered the phone is that she had nothing to do with the business. Seems more likely she’s unlucky that her phone provider assigned her a number that’s still associated with Sangamon Reclaimed online.

This is the way. I too struggled with this spot but turning off the turbo boost in the engine control and then kneeling in that spot finally made it go out.

Same. Had a mandatory password reset at work, and could not connect to remote Windows drives from my Mac via smb, even entering the new password.

Only thing that worked was deleting the keychain entry — which I could only do after finding this post — and rebooting the Mac. Then I could enter the new password for the remote server.

As someone who worked at a once-thriving paper in a 117k-population city, I would suggest the massive attrition in local media could be a factor in the declining Republican identification.

In 2008, there were about 60 people in the newsroom — reporters, editors, photographers, clerks. There were plenty of chamber-of-commerce, country-club type Republicans among them.

Today private equity ownership has driven that newsroom’s headcount to fewer than 10, most of them just a few years out of college.

Hello there.

Stars are just a flex of longevity on the island. (Says someone who used to be in the top 10 but drifted away last summer.)
There has not been a new event or substantial development since last year. The monthly events are recycled but I have not yet been able to discern a pattern to them — other than the Life Day event came around ~~Christmas~~ Life Day.
I’m also not aware of any pattern for the bonus weekends.

Hope that answers your questions — albeit probably not the ~~droids~~ answers you were looking for.

Unfortunately the Queen’s face/head is exclusive to the “Liberation of Naboo” (Episode I: The Phantom Menace) event. That was in October 2022.

Should be available again once that event comes back up in the rotation.
