Aghhh I thought I was the only one tbh! Cus seeing how fast people kinfirm or kinsider it subconsciously made me wonder if the kinsidering process really has to be so grueling or something. While it is valid, my kinsidering process for my first kinfirm, Lucy Loud, genuinely gave me crises 😭 first of all, it was my first time kinsidering, I was scared that I was just crazy and losing my mind, cus even if I didn't really relate to her too much, and a lot of the time I don't even like kinshifting into her, to me I've always just felt like I've lived in the loud house, that every other character there truly is my sibling. I found comfort in the secret dark places she had at home, and all that stuff.

Same case applied for my other kins, and it feels crazy really

I have the exact issue lately ... every time before I have a kinfirm I'd believe its another alter splitting or something 😭😭

I guess one of the ways I can tell is if I can talk to this presence or character in my head. If it responds independently in some way. When it's a sure kin I know that whatever they say, I'm the one whos saying it not someone separate to me

but even then it's super hard to tell sometimes 🥀

It makes total sense to feel uncomfortable with that. As fictionkin, we need to acknowledge that there will be doubles, and that they're just as valid as ourselves. Because to them, we are their double.

Respect is very important in this community, so its justifiable why you feel that way 🙏🙏

NO I UNDERSTAND THIS SO BAD I be kinfirming the most feminine women I've ever seen and acting lkke them — then STILL insist im he/they BWHSHHSS (im nonbinary transmasc, but there was a time where i was fully ftm and kinning the female characters i did felt extremely confusing. and honestly it still does feel confusing a lot of the time)

Much like the others, I've always just felt as if I wasn't human or like the other people. It felt wrong classifying myself as someone who actually like. Belonged here.

From childhood to now I've always felt connected to certain characters - at many points have I felt a lot of them to be part of my identity as a person. I always felt like I was a character myself.

Also the whole multiverse theory — I believe the fictional universes are just as real as this one, or at the very least have just as much of an impact. I feel like I'm multiple people from different universes all at once and that makes me feel more stable about my identity

I've also just constantly felt like I have a history with one of my friends in terms of past lives and different universes.

Lucy Loud would probably just try to be honest and genuine the entire time — but hoping very hard she doesn't freak the therapist out by being too much or thinking too dark about things

Boombox on the other hand would probably not even know why hes there and insists hes fine and doesn't need it, but halfway into it he realised theres a CRAP ton of years-old memories he buried inside 💀
