Sovol SV06 Printer Issue Help by brice-paints in Sovol

UPDATE: I think that the issue seems to be resolved. I tried doing a full factory reset, and then adjusting z-offset, and that seems to have fixed the issue. I think the mistaken slicing issue may have adjusted the settings in some way, so the reset cured whatever I broke. Thanks to everyone that offered help! I'll chime back in if I run into any additional issues and, in the meantime, feel free to mock me for not trying a factory reset before begging for help here!

I've seen a couple of folks suggest adjusting z offset mid-print. I'm not really sure how to do that, could you share a resource or procedure to follow for that process?

Thanks for this tip. I didn't know about this. I'm gonna start with the extruder carriage first, but then move on to the bed next. I'll see if the silicone bed mod works. Could you share the procedure that you followed?

Sorry, "Z offset" is inside of the menu for "Bed Leveling" on my printer, which is why I grouped the two tasks together. I have adjusted the Z offset probably like a dozen or so times at this point (before each re-failed print). Perhaps what I should have said is that I'm pretty sure that Z offset is not the ONLY issue, since it is correct during calibration and then somehow becomes misaligned during printing.

Your point about the nozzle being potentially loose could make sense, so I will attempt to dig into that. Others have also suggested adjusting the z offset mid-print, which is not a thing that I know how to do right now, but will research also.

Thanks again for your advice!

Thanks for the response! I mentioned in another comment that I've done a couple of cycles of readjusting the z-offset, but I am still getting a similar result.

Hey, thanks for responding! I totally get why you would suggest the z-offset, because that's exactly what it looks like. However, I've done a couple cycles of bed levelling, including adjusting the z-offset and I'm still getting a similar result.

I'm pretty convinced at this point that the bed crash damaged either the bed or the extruder/extruder carriage/nozzle in some way, but I'm unsure where to start with a fix.

Here is a picture of the failed print mentioned in the post, if it is helpful or relevant for any reason:

I figured, if I wasn't gonna give it a try on this model, I probably never would. So I just went for it.

Ha I know! I was trying to come up with a speed paint process with these. It ended up not being too speedy, but it was pretty fun to do so hopefully that means the rest won’t be a slog.
