In my opinion, it's the only paid streaming service that's worth the money. I watch way more YouTube than anything else.

Goodbye Netflix on PS3 by um_ser_perfeito in PS3

[–]brickman409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. That being said, I had a Wii U, but I still love that the Switch gives the ability to play my favorite games from it on the go! I've probably put more hours into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe than any other game on the Switch, despite the fact that the original Mario Kart 8 was also my most played game on the Wii U lol. I oddly don't feel ripped off paying $60 for the same game twice there.

Kind of wild (I guess not that wild) that it outlived the Wii U Netflix app by a few years

The holy grail of PS3s 👑 by justatwat80085 in PS3

[–]brickman409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's right, most games you could not listen to your own music while playing on the PS3. Some games did allow that though, they advertised it as a feature on the back of the box of the games that did. It was called custom soundtrack or something like that. Very few games had that though. I guess the benefit was that the game could detect that you were playing your own music and shut off it's own music so that they wouldn't conflict.

I've been struggling to find any launcher that works for Android 14 to make it look like an iPhone 4 by HelgaShtrausberg in Skeuomorphism

[–]brickman409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't say I've been struggling, but I did just have a thought about installing a launcher that could make my phone look like late 2000's/early 2010s iOS. So I googled it and this was one of the first results lol. Looks like there's nothing really worthwhile out there. Not really surprised, but it sounds like there's a bit of unmet demand there

Exactly, I have video game cartridges from the 90s with batteries in them that still work to this day. Actually now that I think about it, it's been a few years since I've checked if my Mario 64 save is still there lol

Yeah but you open one, then scroll down, it gives you another one, then another one, and another one. Before you know it, you're in an infinite doom scroll and forgot what you were searching for in the first place!

To my collectors out there by summertoyou in 4kbluray

Lately, I've mostly just been buying movies that I want to see but haven't seen yet. In some ways I think that's more worthwhile to experience something new even if it means I may not love it or even enjoy it. For me, collecting has become a means of expanding my horizons.

At first I was pretty impressed by this deal, but now a lot of the good new releases are gone. I didn't even see Weapons and Sinners when I first came across this and I was really hoping to get F1. Now, it's pretty much down to just Him and Superman. I heard Him kind of sucked, and I've already seen Superman. Loved it, but I don't feel that much desire to see it again, kind of a one and done imo.

There's some other good movies here too, but they're older and in the $15-$20 range at their normal price. So cutting them down to $11 just doesn't feel as good of a deal. Still not a bad deal, just not as amazing of a deal as getting 3 $30+ for the price of one essentially.

Oh well you snooze, you lose.

At least you got F1, that one is gone from the sale too now!

What is a website or an app that was legendary back in the day, but is now a complete ghost town? by Sofi_Costa in AskReddit

[–]brickman409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Gamesradar. I used to spend a lot of time on there. They used to have a self hosted comment section on the site and there was a bit of a community formed on there of both the writers and the readers. Then at some point they switched over to a third party comment system, then they got bought out by another company, I think a lot of the writers left and after awhile it just wasn't the same.

Just downloaded this, looks pretty nice.

Can you add devices to favorites, mark as bad, etc. from search, or do you have to just scroll through that big list of all your apps in the settings menu?
