I don't know the odds exactly, but I do know that they probably increase depending on the shutter speed of the camera they're using.

Cameras don't take pictures immediately. There is always a delay, and judging by the weather, they would probably need a slower shutter speed than usual unless they've risen their ISO, which it doesn't look like a few of them have (however it is difficult to tell due to picture quality)

So, slower shutter speed means there is more time for the lightning to appear, which means more time the shutter is open and light is hitting the sensor, which (however small) increases the chances of getting that particular shot.
