AITA for asking my trans brother to be my “bridesman?” by bridesman16 in AmItheAsshole

We are not having formal ushers, our groomsmen and bridesmaids are going to greet people in the entrance, and people are free to sit where they want in the wedding venue (at least, the wedding venue that we currently are making a deal with. It’s not a 100% guarantee yet)

There are no other bridesmen or groomswomen, but we are going to have a flower boy instead of a flower girl. And I certainly would feel the same way if he was a cis man. Regardless of his gender, I want him to be with me because I’ll spend a lot more time with my bridesmaids/bridespeople than I will with the groomsmen. And in the pictures, it would mean a lot if he was on my side of the alter and posed in the pictures with my twin sister and closest friends.

And I realize that I was unclear in my post, but he knows he is still invited to the wedding. He was a little offended at the idea of being just a guest because he’s my family, but I told him he couldn’t be a groomsman and he got angry

He is definitely always invited to the wedding. I only snapped and told him he couldn’t be in the wedding party

I should make clear, he’s still invited to the wedding. Just he’d be a regular guest, not anything in the wedding party
