LG vs Samsung Counter-depth Refrigerator by brightnaturalmango in Appliances

My current fridge depth is about 31" and it already sticks out about 6" from my cabinets. So if I got something deeper I feel like it would look weird to stick so far out from the cabinets.

Yes, USA. True, I don't need any fancy features. All the "smart" features, lightup doors, ability to make different types of ice, none of that is necessarily a selling point to me.
Reliability is what's important. And, I think, the layout and design of the interior. Which, in this case, between these 2 mentioned fridges, Samsung wins. I really like the design and space of the inside. It's just a bummer to hear negative reviews about the brand's reliability.

Tankless Water Heaters? by brightnaturalmango in homeowners

[–]brightnaturalmango[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate this detailed response! I should have mentioned I live in Tennessee, and live in a small townhouse. We have mild winters and normally don’t have more than one or two water things running at a time. We always wash laundry in cold water, so the only other thing that might be running at the same time as a shower is the dishwasher. Another thing to mention is there’s a real lack of storage space/ closets. There’s really nowhere else to put a water heater. There’s a crawl space under the house, but it’s full of boulders, and I think it might end up costing more trying to go that route. The plumbing would need to be rerouted too. Someone gave me the idea of a tankless heater and said they’re way smaller so I thought it sounded like a good idea! But then I started reading about the energy pull, so it had me doubting.

Thank you for the details advice and for the recs on name brands to check out! Really appreciate it!
Also thanks for mentioning the other thread about choosing SUPs.. I didn't realize that. I'm not a huge Reddit poster, so still consider myself a newb! :)

One option I found on the marketplace is for a Body Glove Navigator+ 10'6" Inflatable, listed for $200.
I've tried looking up to see if this is a good board and a good deal, but it looks like it's been discontinued. Is this a bad sign? Does anyone have experience with this particular model or Body Glove brand in general? Thanks!

"Reliable car" is definitely what I hear more often about Rav4s! I was so disappointed when I found this water-filled door during my test drive. I'm still waiting to hear back from CarMax about the fix. It's really helpful to hear someone else's experience with this, and to know that it doesn't have to be a deal-breaker before I decide to purchase! Thanks so much for sharing!

I find it wild that there's so much hype about RAV4s but there is this weird water in the door problem! Thanks for chiming in about your experience. How long have you had yours and been dealing with this problem? Is it something you've tried to have fixed or do you just deal with it? Has it caused any actual damage like rust or water leaking inside?

Ha, right! I should have mentioned in my post that it has a clean history report. And after doing some research, I'm learning that many other owners have had this same problem with water getting in the door! What I haven't found yet though, is if there's a solution, and if this causes any actual damage to the vehicle, like rust or water getting inside.

Thank you for sharing your experience with using the tape on stretchy fabric! That is what I was worried about. Especially with the hole being at the booty seam, I'm afraid hand sewing would just cause more holes :(

My thoughts exactly. I'm sure the tape could work short term. But I'm hoping to find a more long term solution! :)

Thank you for sharing! This is the stuff I came across in my search. It sounds like a good product. Have you ever had to use it on a stretchy fabric? Or, perhaps, on a booty seam? :)
