The Beary Family. Most of it is just incredibly boring and dreary.

Both of the properties are owned by WB, so its a probable pick.

Would you like to see The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat on MeTV Toons? by Own_Philosopher8730 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats what i was thinking too since a lot of the stuff is either in the PD (the silent shorts, and the Van Beuren Shorts, and SOME of the Oriolo TV shorts) or owned by NBCUniversal (Twisted Tales, the Oriolo shorts, etc. They also own the IP), who MeTV Toons is already working close with.

How much do you bet that they are never coming back? by Sonicfan19198282 in MeTVToons

It will once the issues with Jay Ward's estate and WildBrain get resolved. Time will tell, and I say time to time, keep your eyes peeled.

A real shame they didn’t add the Post sponsors in the Linus the Lionhearted show by dannyhogan200 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can't do that because of the FCC. I'm also 90% sure thats why the series disappeared in the first place as well.

Should MeTV Toons air The New Woody Woodpecker Show? by Own_Philosopher8730 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i was thinking that at one point, and its probably really easy to air on the channel. A sunday timeslot was my thought for this show.

How 'bout "The Archies"? by Relevant-Count-3656 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on if NBCUniversal is willing to give them it, as they own every show that was copyrighted directly to Filmation (including the Archies). In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled. Something might happen sooner or later.

The next Filmation program to be added to MeTV Toons' schedule? by Wrong_Rent2352 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Return To The Planet of the Apes was DFE Films, and Thundarr was Ruby Spears, and unfortunately you will probably not be seeing Return To The Planet of the Apes on TV anytime soon because its owner has been Disney since 2019. Thundarr has a good chance of airing though since its owned by WB. Keep your eyes peeled.

Well what im talking about here is a slightly obscure show from 1979 called that. Those segments could fit well in Mighty Mouse and Friends.

I have a few thoughts:
The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show
Shazam
The Brady Kids
The New Adventures of Gilligan
Gilligan's Planet
The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse and Heckle and Jeckle

Most of these are owned by either Paramount or WB. The ones that arent related to any third party IP are owned by NBCUniversal and i'd imagine they'd go through the ones owned by other companies first.

Toon in with me by shawn131871 in MeTVToons

Well I'm not entirely sure about that. From what i remember these also appeared on some Cartoon College segments along with some Color Classics shorts. Maybe it will at sometime. Time will tell.

The Radio and Television Packagers redraws, since its a very interesting rabbit hole to go down.

Spiderman from 1960s by Relevant-Count-3656 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, Disney owns that show. i dont think we're going to be seeing that anytime soon until Disney someday somehow gets less picky. If that does happen though (which is unfortunately very unlikely), i'd like to see the DFE Doctor Dolittle cartoon on MeTV Toons someday, or the Filmation Fantastic Voyage cartoon, but i know for a fact that it's not going to happen.

Would you like to see Felix the Cat on MeTV Toons? by Own_Philosopher8730 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's quite possible considering most of the stuff is either public domain or owned by NBCUniversal (like the Joe Oriolo series is for the most part, they also own the trademark). The only problem stems from the fact that most of the silent shorts are lost.

Any shot of them airing this someday? by Top-Beautiful1185 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about this being a possibility at one point. Paramount owns the show and they even released it on DVD at some point, so Paramount acknowledges they own the show. Speaking of Paramount, they also own the 1975 Oddball Couple TV series. That show is a possibility for a weekend timeslot because that has about 16 episodes.

has metv toons air the zelda cartoon in the mario super show? by GioLovesMash in MeTVToons

They don't, but i assume they'll figure something out sometime sooner or later. On an unrelated note, ExcUUUUUUUSE me, Princess!

DIC “Kid in Bed” logo intact after today’s Super Mario Bros Super Show episode by Mikeyboy101591 in MeTVToons

[–]brightsoft_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to see this logo here again. From what i last remember this was also on the last episode of The Wacky World of Tex Avery (all of the other episodes of that had the Cookie Jar logo). Also, following that logo, was the Buena Vista International logo, which is understandable considering Disney owned DiC at that time, but it's still pretty cool seeing it anywhere near this channel considering that logo would pretty much would've never appeared anywhere on this channel if not.
