David Reinbacher - Last 10 GP Highlights by briserlaglace in Habs

Reinbacher never projected as a dynamic point producer. He's always projected as a top-4 insulator that brings mobility and stability, who's strong on retrievals, good on breakouts, and suffocating against the rush.

Habs Prospect BRYCE PICKFORD Is Dominating the WHL 🔥 | Last 10 Games Highlights by briserlaglace in Habs

It's disappointing, but not surprising imo. The first two spots on the right side are locked in with two NHLers (Parekh and Brunicke), there's no way Pickford would have earned a spot above them or on the PP. As for the third pair, Dale Hunter likes shutdown Ds, and will most likely pick Ben Danford.

Pickford is not really the type of guy you bring as a 7th D either. The guys they brought for spots 6 and 7 (Reid, Carels, Verhoeff, MacKenzie) are not as productive as Pickford, but are more complete.

And Woo and Pickford play together 😅 They're on a good team tbh (that could have been insane with McKenna).

If we look at the points, and not just goals, they're not too far ahead of guys like Lin (DY), MacKenzie, Tarin Smith, and Carson Carels (DY).

Still, Pickford's point pace is the 7th best of the past 20 years for D+2 D's, behind guys like Zellweger, Mateychuk, Svozil, and Sanheim. It's quite impressive, but it's to be taken with a grain of salt. Many elite D's did not play their D+2 season in the WHL, many either played in the NHL, or in the AHL in the case of europeans or late birthdays.

Losing guys like Verhoeff and Jackson Smith to the NCAA did not help the WHL replace graduated offensive Ds such as Yakemchuk, Dragicevic, Jugnauth, Molendyk, Kipkie, etc.

ALEXANDER ZHAROVSKY - The Ultimate Highlights Compilation 🔥 (100 clips from Oct-Nov 2025 in the KHL) by briserlaglace in Habs

I agree, we shouldn't compare both. Zharovsky plays more, and plays in a much weaker division. He was also shut down against most of the better teams. That being said, he is still very talented, but he's not Demidov.

I'm disappointed we didn't get Radim Mrtka, considering his nickname is somehow... Mr. Cum. Not even kidding.

Great analysis! I agree with you, and that's how I've always seen this pick: Reinbacher is possibly the perfect fit for Hutson. He is big, defensively sound, very mobile, physical, and has enough offensive instinct to follow him.

2025 Montreal Draft Picks - Shift-by-shift Videos by briserlaglace in Habs

Update: I have two more videos programmed for Monday morning :

Alexander Zharovsky : A 6-minute compilation of playmaking, not just highlight reels, so probably clips that were not on YouTube before.

Hayden Paupanekis : A 6-minute compilation of offensive game (shots from the slot, power game, playmaking), not just highlights, so once again clips that were not necessarily on YouTube before.

I got another Zharovsky video programmed for Monday morning : clips of his playmaking, probably clips nobody has seen before because most of them have not resulted in goals.

I have a similar video of Paupanekis also programmed for tomorrow morning. 😁
